If you think about it, the origin of all the civilizations in the world, after entering the Neolithic Age, sooner or later, pottery was made. But they have not created a glorious painted pottery culture like Gansu painted pottery. Gansu painted pottery, 8,000 years ago has been produced exquisite painted pottery, Dadiwan culture, Yangshao culture, Majiayao culture and the Bronze Age culture painted pottery complement each other, after more than 5,000 years of long development years, Gansu painted pottery quantity, type, production level and artistic achievements, are incomparable in other regions.
The Gansu Provincial Museum has a special painted pottery hall, wandering in front of the exquisite painted pottery left by many painted pottery civilizations such as Majiayao, Banshan, Machang, Qijia, Siba, etc., and is impressed by its exquisite and imaginative ornamentation.
In the last part of the exhibition hall, the exhibits are so beautiful that they resemble those of ancient potters who entertained themselves in their spare time after a busy day. They are small, the shape is also simple, there is no special decoration, maybe it is a toy made by a craftsman for his children, but there is a sense of innocent nature, the simpler the more interesting.
The last part of the "Gansu Painted Pottery Exhibition" of the Gansu Provincial Museum exhibits small utensils that seem to have been pinched out by the ancients.

It seems that the ancient pottery craftsmen, after a busy day of doing "big work", used the "leftovers" at hand to make a few small things to relieve boredom. There is no meticulous workmanship, no careful drawing, but innocent, and the simpler the truth, the more interesting.
