Comrade Li Weihan once worked in the Ministry of National Affairs, and his contributions were reflected in the promotion of national cooperation and ethnic and religious affairs.

From 1962, Li Weihan's work was criticized, and in 1964, he was dismissed from all his positions, including the head of the department, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and vice chairman of the National People's Congress.

After Li Weihan was dismissed, the post of minister of the ** ministry has been vacant, and later, under the decision of the superiors, Xu Bing became the second minister of the ** ministry. So, let's take a look at Xu Bing's story.

Xu Bing, a native of Nangong, Xingtai, Hebei Province, was born in 1903. Before the Revolution, he studied in Germany and joined the Communist Party in 1924, and he was actively involved in *** and was expelled from Germany to continue his studies at Sun Yat-sen University in the Soviet Union.

In 1928, he returned to China and was sent to Shanghai to engage in the workers' movement and underground work. At that time, our party had already established a "special department", which was headed by Gu Shunzhang.

However, in 1931, Gu Shunzhang rebelled, and the underground work in Shanghai was severely damaged, and Xu Bing was also in danger. To make matters worse, there are still many important documents and materials in Shanghai, and if they fall into the hands of the Kuomintang, the consequences will be unimaginable.

Under these circumstances, Xu Bing bravely risked his life to transfer these documents and avoid greater losses.

After Gu Shunzhang's rebellion, underground work in Shanghai almost came to a standstill, and in 1932, Xu Bing was also arrested by the Kuomintang and imprisoned. In the face of harsh prison life, Xu Bing adhered to the party's secrets and was unyielding.

In 1933, after the unremitting efforts of the organization, Xu Bing was successfully released from prison, after which he moved to Beiping (now Beijing) and continued to fight for the party's cause. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, Xu Bing performed well, especially since 1939, he fully assisted in the work of the first class, accumulated rich experience, and laid a solid foundation for future work.

After the peaceful liberation of Beiping, Xu Bing participated in the takeover of the city, ensuring a smooth transition, so that Fu Zuoyi's troops could be evacuated smoothly and the PLA troops were successfully stationed.

At the same time, he served as the deputy mayor of Peiping and made great efforts to maintain the stability and social order of the city. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xu Bing was in charge of the deputy mayor of Beijing and the first vice minister of the Ministry of Beijing, mainly assisting Li Weihan, the minister of the Ministry of Justice, in handling cooperation and ethnic and religious affairs.

They worked closely together to achieve remarkable results in the first work, especially in the aspect of public-private partnerships, successfully promoted China's transition to socialism, and made outstanding contributions to the work in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In 1964, Li Weihan was dismissed from the post of Minister of the Ministry of ** and was replaced by Xu Bing, becoming the second minister of the position, and at the same time, Xu Bing also served as the vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, with a prominent position.

Xu Bing served in the post of minister of ** for a total of two years, but after the beginning of the special decade in 1966, he was deeply affected by **, and at the age of 63, he was dismissed from the post and the vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Xu Bing, just like when he was in Shanghai, always adhered to his beliefs, and in the face of the continuation of the counter-revolutionary group led by **, he was unyielding. Although his life came to an end on March 22, 1972, at the age of 69, his spirit and contributions have not been forgotten.

Seven years later, in 1979, the organization rehabilitated Zhaoxue and restored his reputation, so that he could smile and regain the respect he deserved.
