I haven't been to Nanputuo Temple for seven or eight years, but when I got up today, I moved my mind to say goodbye to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Nanputuo Temple is located in front of the five old peaks, backed by the Xiuqi peaks, facing the Bicheng harbor, is a legendary thousand-year-old temple. Get off from Xiamen University West Village, cross the overpass to the road between Xiamen University and South Putuo, and find that the large area of small old houses on the side of the road before are all gone, replaced by greenery. I can't help but admire the great handwriting and determination of Xiamen, Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple.
The route into the temple has also been standardized, and in the past, you could enter from both the east and west sides, but now you can enter from the east gate and exit from the west gate. To enter the temple, you must first scan the code to make an appointment, but it is very convenient, that is, you can scan to enter. There are also rules for lighting incense, each person distributes a stick of incense, no need to pay, but you can't take more, in line with the principle of environmental protection and safety.
Some time ago, because of work, I came into contact with a national representative inheritor of lacquer line carving skills named Cai Shuiquan, and the twelfth generation of Xiamen Cai's lacquer line carving. From October 1981 to 1983, he used a lacquer line to reshape the "Four King Kongs" of Nanputuo Temple, leaving a legacy for the world.
However, I don't know that the Four Great Vajras are in the Heavenly King Palace, and they have bypassed by. Perfect to miss!
The Veda Bodhisattva behind the palace, who is responsible for supporting the monks and performing the Dharma, is a figure I admire. I looked at it, and I didn't quite know if it was also a decoration made of lacquer line carving. But the heart is happy ......
In 1929, he presided over the legal affairs of Nanputuo Temple and Minnan Buddhist College, which rose and laid a solid foundation. In the 80s, the Hokkien Buddhist College was reopened, and its reputation was raised. Nan Huaijin once practiced meditation seven times here and gave lectures, which had a great influence.
However, looking at the temple with a dense crowd of pilgrims, I really don't understand, this could be a good place to practice?
Of course, Buddhism has a secular side, and to meet the psychological demands of ordinary people, it is not the fault of Buddhism that incense is prosperous.
Just like myself, I didn't come to ask, I came with a vision, I asked for a bodhisattva.
Worshiped the Daxiong Treasure Hall, and then arrived at the Great Compassion Hall of the Thousand-armed Guanyin. Walk clockwise around the Great Compassion Temple, pray in your heart, pray for the perfection of the three Dharma seals of emotion, wealth, and situation, and moreover, pray that the Bodhisattva will point to my Yang Zhishui, great compassion for the world, and cast spells to be healthy!
After reciting the Great Compassion Mantra for seven or eight years, I thought it was time to do something.
Go around the backyard and the scenery is still the same.
Just, ten years of trees. It's more lush, and the feng shui is better.
Coming down from the west, passing through the gate of the Minnan Buddhist College, I feel that it is quiet and peaceful, and it is two heavens with the temple. I remembered the time when I visited Master Jiqun with my friends. At that time, I didn't know anything about Buddhism, and when I saw the big bucktooth master, I didn't think so.
It's really a Buddha who doesn't cross the undestined person.
During that time, the great monk Shenghui of Hunan also had the idea of visiting in Nanputuo, but there was no ready-made way, and the idea was not strong. Later, a colleague gave me a copy of the Diamond Sutra explanation by Venerable Mengshen, and I read a lot of it, and I went a little further on the road to Buddhism.
At that time, he began to recite the Great Compassion Mantra. Later, someone instructed me in vajra recitation, and I benefited a lot!
Going around and around, hurrying, dragonflies and water, less than half an hour, came out of the west door.
Looking back at the gate of the South Putuo Temple, the spring is cold and sparse.
What kind of year will it be? What will be the people?
