On February 23, with the last blasting operation of the working face, the Yaowangtang Tunnel of Xikang High-speed Railway was successfully completed, which is also the fourth tunnel of Xikang High-speed Railway, and the construction of Xikang High-speed Railway successfully achieved a "good start" in the Year of the Dragon.
There are a total of 20 tunnels designed on the whole line of Xikang high-speed railway, and the Yaowangtang tunnel is located in Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, which is a single-hole double-track tunnel with a total design length of 39484 meters, with a maximum burial depth of 440 meters. The Yaowangtang Tunnel is located in a section with complex geological conditions, large terrain fluctuations, and through the water-rich area, the construction process has a large water inrush phenomenon, and the maximum water inflow in a single day is about 120,000 cubic meters. In order to overcome the unfavorable factors such as shallow burial of the tunnel, water inrush and reverse slope drainage, the construction unit will hold an expert review to control the inrush water and optimize the reverse slope drainage plan, strictly implement the grid management of safety and quality, strengthen the division of labor, and assign responsibility to the person to ensure the smooth passage of the tunnel.
Xikang high-speed railway is an important part of the national medium and long-term railway network planning "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail corridors, including the Baobao (Yin) Sea Corridor and the Beijing-Kunming Corridor, which will become a large fast passenger transport channel running through the west and connecting the two major national urban agglomerations of Chengdu-Chongqing and Guanzhong, which is of great significance to promoting local economic development along the line.
