Five-fold ** like a bright building
The eldest brother of the Ming family in the TV series "The Pretender" left a particularly deep impression on everyone, the Ming Lou in the play is handsome and chic, graceful, and good at dancing with long sleeves in the intelligence contest between the country, the Communist Party and Japan.
Is that really the case?
In the history of our party, there is really such a red **, his cover identity is more than Minglou, a full five, with many identities such as military commander, central unification, green and red gang, Japanese puppet **. For more than a decade, he skillfully and calmly, tenaciously and wittily maneuvered between the secret services of the Kuomintang, the Japanese, and the Wang puppet regime. ** Call it "a rare talent on our party's intelligence front".
However, such a hero, in his later years, was alone and extremely bumpy, so what happened?
Identity 1: Military Commander**
After the defeat of the Battle of Songhu in 1937, Shanghai fell, and Chiang Kai-shek urgently needed to grasp the movements of the Japanese, and ordered Dai Li to develop a number of military commanders in Shanghai, preferably infiltrating the Japanese organization. After Dai Li accepted the order, he was introduced by Du Yuesheng and planned to recruit Yuan Shu.
At this time, Yuan Shu had just returned to Shanghai. At about 8 o'clock in the morning, the horn of a car sounded outside the front door, Yuan Shu felt strange, he quickly opened the front door, and saw a car parked at the door, and two people stood next to the car, one of them was wearing the uniform of a Kuomintang lieutenant general, and the other was wearing civilian clothes. Yuan Shu recognized at a glance that the person in civilian clothes was Dai Li, who had seen ** before, and was so surprised in his heart, and said: "Mr. Dai really didn't expect to come to our house in person, please talk inside, please talk inside." Dai Li didn't answer immediately, he looked at the small building with a full head and said, "You have a pretty good life, I don't have time today, you come to me tomorrow morning." After the person next to him told the address of tomorrow's meeting, the two got in the car and left.
The next day, Yuan Shu arrived at the place designated by Dai Li a little earlier. Dai Li's reception room was full of high-ranking Kuomintang generals. After waiting for a while, Dai Li and Zhou Daosan came over, Dai didn't say a word of politeness, and asked, "What do you live on now?" Yuan said: "I am okay on the surface, but in fact, I live on my wife." This is what Yuan Shu thought about first, and its subtext is to find something to do. Dai Li said, "Then you can do things for me, is 300 yuan a month enough?" Yuan Shu immediately said, "300 yuan a month is enough, I don't know what Mr. Dai wants me to do?" Dai said, "It's the Anti-Japanese War now, what do students in Japan do if they don't do anti-Japanese work?" After Dai briefly explained the task, he said: "I am very busy, and you will obey the command of the third district chief of Zhou Dao in the future." When he was done, he went to talk to the others.
This time, Dai was summoned, and the conversation lasted only more than 10 minutes. Since then, Yuan Shu has become the head of the major general of the Shanghai International Intelligence Group of the Military Control Bureau.
After that, Yuan Shu set up a secret operation group to assassinate Japanese invaders and traitors. Seeing all the atrocious crimes committed by the Japanese invaders on the land of China, Yuan Shu was filled with indignation and grief, and immediately decided to blow up the Japanese naval arsenal in Hongkou, Shanghai.
However, this arsenal is heavily guarded, with high walls and power grids, and special passes are required for entry and exit, so it is obviously impossible to rush into force. After some investigation, Yuan Shu found that the arsenal was not completely without gaps, and there was a Chinese man who could enter and exit freely, and he was mainly responsible for delivering food to the Japanese troops stationed in the warehouse.
This is equivalent to giving Yuan Shu a chance, so he sent Wang Tiemin of the "Anti-Japanese Iron and Blood Regiment" to pretend to be a rickshaw driver, meet this guy by chance, and invite the man to smoke and eat together from time to time.
For the sake of prudence, this time the face is familiar, and it has been mixed for half a year.
Seeing that the time was ripe and the man had completely trusted them, Wang Tiemin quietly put the bomb into the basket where the man was transporting vegetables.
In order to save the guy from being exposed for fear of exposing himself, they didn't let the guy know about the plan, but just told him that after the guy finished delivering the meal, he had to come out in time before dark anyway, and the blind date they introduced to him was still waiting for a date.
The guy who has been a bachelor for a long time, when he heard that he was going to go on a blind date, he naturally did it obediently. When night fell, with a burst of fire and a loud noise, the Japanese arsenal was reduced to ruins, which made the people of Shanghai applaud.
The Japanese army was so angry that they immediately launched a large-scale search, but they could not find any clues.
Because they could never have imagined that it would be the "own people" of the Japanese military intelligence agencies who blew up their warehouses.
Identity 2: Intelligence officer of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Because of Yuan Shu's hidden merit, in the second half of 1938, Dai Li summoned Yuan Shu to Hong Kong to participate in the military command backbone meeting, and ordered Yuan Shu to get rid of the traitor leader Li Shiqun.
After Yuan Shu returned from Hong Kong, on the one hand, he kept in touch with Iwai Eiichi, and on the other hand, actively planned to kill Li Tuqun. This Li Shiqun, who participated in the revolution in his early years, was assigned by the party to receive special training at the Eastern University in Vladivostok, Soviet Union, and after returning to China, he worked in the ** special department, and was arrested by the Kuomintang Central Committee in 1932 and defected to the enemy. After the start of the Anti-Japanese War, he threw himself into the arms of the Japanese, acted as a lackey of the Japanese, and established the "No. 76 ** Headquarters". Li Shiqun frantically suppressed the anti-Japanese movement, brutalized the people, and also attacked the military commanders. Li Shiqun and the military commander formed an indissoluble enmity.
Yuan Shu was ordered to speed up the pace of killing Li Shiqun, and formulated a careful plan for this. However, just as he was about to put the plan into practice, the plan was revealed due to the ** defection of Wang Tianmu, the head of the Shanghai District of the Military Command, and others, and Yuan Shu was also arrested by Li Shiqun's "** headquarters".
On the issue of how to deal with Yuan Shu, there was a difference of opinion between Wang's puppet spy leaders. ** The leader Ding Mocun advocated killing Yuan Shu, while Li Shiqun advocated keeping people under the knife.
At this critical moment, Yuan Shu took the opportunity of his wife Ma Jingxing to go to the cell to change clothes, suggesting that she go to the CCP's famous red ** Pan Hannian for help. Pan Hannian knew that Yuan Shu had an intelligence relationship with the Japanese spy leader Iwai Eiichi, so he wrote a ** number in a hurry: "Call ** to notify Iwai to save people." ”
After Iwai heard the news, he immediately brought two assistants to the No. 76 Demon Cave of Wang's puppet ** headquarters, and asked Ding Mocun and Li Shiqun for someone in the name of the consulate and on the grounds that Yuan Shu was an intelligence officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Why did Major General of the Military Commander become an intelligence officer of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs? What is his relationship with the CCP? Why did Pan Hannian know about his relationship with Eiichi Iwai? And why did you save him? What other unknown identities does Yuan Shu have?
To understand all this, we also need to turn the clock forward to 1911, the year of the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
Yuan Shu was born
Yuan Shu was born on April 27, 1911 in Xinchun County, Hubei Province, in a declining official family, his real name was Yuan Xueyi, and he was once renamed Zeng Dazhai.
Later, with the help of his wife Ma Jingxing, the two went to Tokyo, Japan to study together in September 1929. During his stay in Japan, he was extensively involved in the fields of political and historical knowledge, came into contact with the works of Marx and Engels, and initially received the baptism of Marxist-Leninist theory. After studying abroad for a year, I dropped out of school and returned to China because I had no financial **.
After Yuan Shu returned from Japan, he lived a wandering life, and later founded the newspaper "Literature and Art News", which marked Yuan Shu's official dedication to progressive cultural undertakings.
Yuan Shu's newspaper reported a major event that many newspapers did not dare to report at that time, that is, in February 1931Left League writers Rou Shi, Hu Yepin, Yin Fu, Feng Keng, and Li Weisen were secretly killed by the Kuomintang in the Longhua Incident in Shanghai.
In the process of running the newspaper, Yuan Shu corresponded frequently with Feng Xuefeng, Xia Yan, and Zhu Jing, and took the initiative to express to them his desire to join the CCP.

One day in October 1931, Pan Hannian, who was then the chief of the intelligence section of the Second Special Branch of the Chinese Communist Party, and his assistant Ouyang Xin (pseudonym Wang Zichun) formally met Yuan Shu at a White Russian café in Jing'an Temple in Shanghai. On behalf of the Shanghai secret party organization of the Communist Party of China, Pan Hannian agreed to recruit Yuan Shu as a member of the central committee, and at the same time, according to the needs of the covert struggle, he was transferred to work in the ** special department.
Pan Hannian designated Wang Zichun as Yuan Shu's one-line contact person and instructor, who helped complete the spy work. "Sword gall and piano heart" is the code of agreement. Pan and Wang asked Yuan Shu to strictly guard the secrets of the organization and be a "white-skinned, red-hearted, radish"-style intelligence officer.
Since then, Yuan Shu's name has disappeared from progressive cultural circles, and he has begun his 16-year spy career.
In the days to come, no matter how much Yuan Shu's identity is, no matter how sinister the environment is, Yuan Shu's background color will always be red, a red ** lurking in the enemy camp, and a Communist Party member.
Just like when watching "Lurker", the author will have such a feeling, when Ming Lou has three identities, when he is alone, will he not be able to figure out who he is? Without the support of faith, I am afraid it will be difficult to persevere in that treacherous and volatile environment.
Yuan Shu was 20 years old at the time, and he had never been in contact with special science work before, so he knew nothing about intelligence work. Wang Zichun's words and deeds made him quickly familiar with the rules and basic skills of the "game" of intelligence work. After mastering the basic skills of secret liaison and transmitting intelligence, Yuan Shu and the others began to look for ways to penetrate the enemy's interior.
Join the Central Union
Yuan Shu took an important step in moving to the hidden front when he was introduced by his cousin Jia Botao to the "Ganshe", a secret small group controlled by Wu Xingya, director of the Shanghai Social Bureau. In May 1933, Wu Xingya established the "Cadre Society" headed by himself. The name of the company was finalized by Wu Xingya, because at the inaugural meeting, Wu Xingya talked about "hard work, poor work, and hard work", so it was called "Ganshe".
The leading body of the "Cadre Society" is called the board of directors, Wu Xingya is the chairman, and Pan Gongzhan is the vice chairman. Yuan Shu served as the head of the intelligence unit, and Li Shiqun, who later served as the leader of Wang's puppet **, served as the head of the action unit, and there were more than 50 people when the cadre society was established. Yuan Shu, as the head of the intelligence unit of the cadre society, is actually only responsible for Wu Xingya, and Yuan's information is directly handed over to Wu, and others have no right to check it.
At that time, the cadre society was as famous as the famous ** organization "Fuxing Society".
For more than three years from the winter of 1931 to the spring of 1935, Yuan Shu was active on the intelligence front, left and right, and did quite smoothly.
Transformed into a Japanese intelligence officer
Yuan Shu was active in Wu Xingya's ** organization, and his public identity was a news reporter, and Yuan met the Japanese Eiichi Iwai several times at the press conference of the Japanese Consulate in Shanghai. At that time, Iwai Eiichi was an attaché at the Shanghai consulate and was promoted to vice consul at the end of the decade, and most of the attachés in the Japanese consulates at that time were Japanese spies, and they had considerable power, and Iwai himself could use more than 100,000 yuan a month for activities.
Wang Zichun instructed Yuan Shu to persist in attending the Japanese news conference and try to attract the attention of the Japanese personnel. After running to the Japanese consulate several times, Wang further plotted Yuan's approach to the Japanese. By chance, Yuan Shu finally met Iwai.
Half a year after intersecting with Iwai, in a meeting, Iwai suddenly said, "Mr. Yuan and I have been dating for a long time, and it has helped us a lot, so in the future, I will provide a little communication fee, how about 200 yuan a month?" Iwai's words seem to be polite, but in fact they are officially recruiting Yuan Shu as an intelligence officer of the Japanese consulate. The environment at that time did not allow for instructions and reports, Yuan Shu pondered for a moment, thinking that Wang Zichun was actively planning for him to contact the Japanese, so he agreed.
This laid the foundation for Pan Hannian to lead the intelligence struggle against Japan during the Anti-Japanese War in the future.
During this period, in order to develop a relationship, Yuan Shu formed a so-called brother with a different surname with Hang Shiwu, the leader of the famous Youth Gang, and had close contacts with the leader of the gang, Du Yuesheng, and others。This is Yuan Shu's fifth identity.
Jail
After Yuan Shu joined ** Special Branch, he worked closely with Wang Zichun and went well. However, by the end of 1934, the secret organization of the CCP in Shanghai had been destroyed one after another, and Wang Zichun, who had worked in Shanghai for a long time, could no longer continue to hold on. In a very urgent situation, he was notified to immediately transfer to the Soviet Union, and he did not even have time to inform Yuan Shu before leaving, nor could he explain his relationship with Yuan Shu to anyone.
After the disconnection", Yuan Shu decided to go to Xia Yan, who knew that he was participating in the work of ** Special Branch, and eagerly said that he had suddenly cut off contact with the organization, and now he wanted to resume contact, and asked Xia Yan to hand over a letter to the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee or any superior leader. Xia Yan looked at Yuan Shu's anxious appearance and agreed to his request.
A few days later, Liu Changsheng, who goes by the pseudonym "Xiao Chen", came to find Yuan Shu. But soon after, it was "Xiao Li" dressed as a student to contact and be responsible for passing on information.
Many years later, when the dust of history settled, Yuan Shu knew the complicated situation at that time. It turned out that Xia Yan couldn't find someone from the ** Special Branch for a while, so he handed over Yuan Shu's letter to Cai Shuhou, who had organizational relations in the Special Branch and whose working relationship had been transferred to the Far East Intelligence Bureau of the Comintern. Cai Shuhou felt that the Far East Intelligence Bureau was in need of someone like Yuan Shu, so he asked for instructions and decided to transfer Yuan Shu's relationship to the Far East Intelligence Bureau. In this way, Yuan Shu participated in the work of the Far Eastern Intelligence Bureau without knowing it
Not long after Yuan Shu collected intelligence for the Far East Bureau, a sensational case of "strange Westerners" occurred. The Kuomintang military command Hubei Station arrested Guan Zhaonan, a member of the Central Committee. Guan mutinied under both soft and hard measures, and then led the military commander's agents to trap Lu Dubu, a traffic officer who contacted him, and Lu Dubu confessed to his brother Lu Haifeng, who in turn confessed to Lawrence, the head of the Comintern's China branch and alias Joseph Walton, the so-called "strange Westerner".
The next day, Lu Haiphong confessed to some people who had work contacts with him, and Yuan Shu also admitted that he had worked for the CCP's intelligence system and the Far East Intelligence Bureau. Because Dai Li and Wu Xingya both wanted to take Yuan Shu under their doors. Therefore, Yuan Shu** not only did not suffer from flesh and skin, but on the contrary, he was "cared for" everywhere. In front of the enemy, Yuan Shu adopted a flexible, flexible, and sleek strategy to protect himself as much as possible, which was also the origin of the "apostasy" that later caused him great annoyance.
After Yuan Shu was sentenced, he was transferred to the Hubei Provincial Provincial Provincial Institute to serve his sentence. In May 1936, Yuan Shu was actually released from the Introspection Institute after serving less than a year in prison, and Yuan Shu went to Japan to continue his studies after being released from prison.
Left and right
In April 1937, as Sino-Japanese relations became increasingly tense and Japan's anti-Chinese incidents continued to occur, Yuan Shu decided to return to China immediately. Iwai also approached Yuan Shu, hoping that Yuan Shu would continue to cooperate with the Japanese side after the "rupture" of Japan-China relations. However, after Yuan Shu returned to Shanghai, he first went to Feng Xuefeng and reported his situation in Japan, hoping that the party would give him instructions on his future work.
In view of Yuan Shu's special and complicated situation, Feng Xuefeng didn't know how to arrange it for a while. At that time, many comrades thought that Yuan Shu had already been a "turning" figure and could not be trusted. Feng Xuefeng asked Yuan Shu to use the old relationship to find something to do first. Yuan Shu had no choice but to act alone, and he found the relationship of the old gangFunded by Du Yuesheng, he set up an inconspicuous "current affairs publishing house"., in fact, he was just a diner under Du Yuesheng's door.
It didn't take long for Yuan Shu to find Pan Hannian, the leader who led him to the revolutionary road and the intelligence front. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Pan Hannian served as the director of the Shanghai office of the Eighth Route Army, and comprehensively guided the work of the entire underground party in Shanghai.
Yuan Shu reported to Pan Hannian his general experience in recent years, and earnestly expressed his hope that he could make a contribution to the anti-Japanese resistance under the leadership of the party.
Proceeding from the party's strategy and tactics, and after careful consideration, Pan Hannian ruled out the opinion that Xia Yan and others were not suitable for Yuan Shu, decided to accept Yuan Shu's request, and resumed contact with him.
After that, there was an incident in which Dai Li recruited Yuan Shu, and with the consent of Pan Hannian, Yuan Shu joined the military command.
Obtain a large amount of Japanese intelligence
With the approval of *** research, personnel from Hong Kong, Guilin, Yan'an and other places were dispatched to assist Yuan Shu in forming a team, and the signboard of "Iwai Mansion" was hung at No. 938 Baoshan Road (in fact, it is not Iwai's Mansion). The main candidates for the control of the headquarters were all selected by Pan Hannian behind the scenes.
Seven years ago, Wang Zichun laid out the "son" by Iwai's side, and through Pan Hannian's flexible use, he stepped out of a brilliant game of chess in the history of Chinese and foreign intelligence: a legal base was set up on the beach under the banner of the Japanese, and our party's intelligence personnel and radio stations were planted under the noses of the enemy. By the hands of the enemy and with the enemy's strategy, the center of the Japanese puppet rule was turned into a forward position against the aggressors. And the Japanese were kept in the dark.
Yuan Shu gained convenience by joining Wang's puppet regime, and constantly provided Pan with information about the enemy and puppet. The "Iwai Mansion" controlled by our party was also preserved, and it continued to appear in the center of the Japanese puppet rule with a gray face, and persisted until the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in order to fulfill the special mission entrusted by history. In order to deeply grasp the enemy's movements, Pan Hannian lost no time in using the hidden stronghold of "Iwai Mansion", and with Yuan Shu's "special identity", he went to the tiger's den under the pseudonym "Mr. Hu" to deal with the Japanese.
Under the escort of Yuan Shu, Pan Hannian went in and out of Japan as if he were taking a flat road. He calmly traveled back and forth between Shanghai and Hong Kong, secretly led his intelligence team, and obtained a large amount of valuable strategic intelligence.
On June 22, 1941, the German army attacked the Soviet Union, the Soviet army rushed to the battle, and retreated, whether the Japanese army was to advance north to cooperate with Germany to flank the Soviet Union, or to advance south and fight with Britain and the United States, which will have an immeasurable impact on the situation in China and the world.
It was at this critical juncture that the strategic intelligence provided by Yuan Shu on the southward advance of the Japanese army solved the urgent need. From July to September 1941, Pan Hannian promptly reported to Yan'an the strategic intelligence provided by Yuan Shu and others on the southward advance of the Japanese army.
Pan Hannian's nephew, Pan Guanru, said in an interview: ".So the chairman said that he could finally get a good night's sleep, and asked Kang Sheng to call Xiao Kai (referring to Pan Hannian) back and write the biggest good. Kang Sheng said that this greatest goodness could not be reflected in the telegram, and the chairman said that you should write well, and if you do it, you will be good.
After the intelligence reached the Soviet Union, Yuan Shu also made considerable contributions to the Allied victory in World War II.
Taking advantage of his position to engage in clandestine work
On December 7, 1941, the Pacific War broke out and the Japanese army attacked Hong Kong.
At that time, Yuan Shu was quite trusted by Wang Pseudo, and he took advantage of his position to provide the CCP with personnel changes within the Japanese puppet in a timely manner; intelligence on the deployment of Japanese troops in southern Jiangsu and the operation of clearing the countryside; the establishment of secret communication routes to the base areas; Rescue the captured members of the New Fourth Army, cover Fan Changjiang, Zou Taofen and others to enter the base area, etc. After Yuan Shu became the head of the Qingxiang Political Work Group, he secretly carried out "anti-Qingxiang" activities: he first reported to the party organization the division of key areas in the Japanese army's QingxiangAfter Su Yu's troops got the news, they put the door panels on the tables, chairs and benches, and jumped out of the fence wall overnight to transfer。He also took advantage of his position to rescue the captured New Fourth Army and release more than 30 local party cadres who were imprisoned.
Secret transfer to the liberated territories
At the beginning of 1945, the world anti-fascist war had become an irreversible trend, and the number of days was running out. Yuan Shu decided to go to the liberated areas and return to the revolutionary road that he had pursued in his early years, and in the middle, he went through a revolutionary road with repeated twists and turns。Before leaving, he set about cleaning up the property belonging to the "Iwai Mansion" and handed over three suitcases of gold bars, US dollars, pounds, and a large number of property worth nearly 10 million yuan, such as house deeds, land deeds, and bank documents, to the Shanghai secret party organization to support the revolution.
It was not until the beginning of the second year that the Kuomintang learned the news of Yuan Shu's return to the liberated area, and could not help but be furious, and issued a wanted warrant for Yuan Shu, and sent people to Suzhou to raid his home, but fortunately, Yuan Shu's wife took their son who had just been born for a few months, and ran back to Shanghai through the back door.
Yuan Shu's defection to the liberated areas was warmly welcomed. A few months later, the organization department asked Yuan Shu to re-register as a member of the party and renamed him "Zeng Da Zhai", which he used for nearly 40 years.
Bumpy old age
In February 1949, Beiping was liberated. Li Kenong personally transferred Yuan Shu to work in the Liaison Department of the General Intelligence Administration and the Military Commission, which was the most prosperous day in Yuan Shu's life.
In 1954, the Military Commission made a formal political conclusion to Yuan Shu during the interrogation: In 1935, he made a serious political mistake in surrendering and betraying, and later fully affirmed the intelligence work of the CCP. Before the ink of the "conclusion" was dry, Pan Hannian's unjust case occurred in April 1955, and almost all the secret party members who had worked for Pan Hannian in Shanghai were spared. On the 26th of the same month, 44-year-old Yuan Shu was also imprisoned, and in 1965, Yuan Shu was sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of "military command agent", "Japanese agent" and "traitor".
In terms of love life, in 1941, after Yuan Shu and Ma Jingxing divorced, he married Wang Rui, divorced Yuan Shu in 1953, and later committed suicide by jumping into the river because he was implicated in Yuan Shu's case.
On August 23, 1982, the CCP ** was ordinary for Pan Hannian, and Yuan Shu and a large number of people implicated in the Pan case were also rehabilitated, confirming that he joined the CCP in 1931, reinstated his party membership, and approved his retirement from the Ministry of Science and Technology to enjoy the original level treatment. The original confiscated property was returned at a discounted price, and a new house was allocated in Xiyuan, Beijing.
After entering 1985, Yuan Shu's physical condition deteriorated, two strokes caused him to damage his brain, unable to control his emotions, became moody, sometimes yelling, sometimes whining and scolding, and his relationship with his children was not very good.
The compound where Yuan Shu lives is full of retired cadres, and Yuan Shu never goes to all kinds of card and chess activities, for fear that others will say that he is a traitor and traitor. In fact, the old people in the compound admired Yuan Shu very much, saying that he had more credit than others.
On November 26, 1987, Yuan Shu died at the age of 76 in the 309 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army in Beijing and was buried in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery.
Conclusion
A person's life of only a few decades is just a small wave in the long river of history, but when they are at a critical juncture in history, how many people can stand up for the interests of the country and the nation?
I wish all the heroes who are fighting on the hidden front will be treated fairly, and the motherland and people will not forget you!
