In recent years, there are more and more people drinking tea, and each tea friend has a lot of inventory in his hands, and the "more and more the better" of Pu'er tea, so that everyone is looking forward to the "surprise" in the future, so how to store it has become a headache for many tea lovers, today let's talk about the storage of Pu'er tea.
First of all, about storing tea, it is not only tea that is stored, but also the quality and value of one's future tea life, which is full of "hope".
Then one thing needs to be clarified: not all Pu'er tea will taste better and better, only Pu'er with high-quality raw materials has the meaning of storage!
The tea set has a "sense of ceremony", but it is not mysterious.
Here I will tell you about the transformation principle of Pu'er tea storage: the transformation of Pu'er is generally in the process of storage, and its contents are constantly oxidized, decomposed, and polymerized. And this transformation is divided into three categories:
The first is "natural oxidation", which is the oxidation of tea polyphenols, alkaloids, tea pigments, pectin and other substances in contact with the air after tea is rolled; The second is the "enzymatic reaction", in which the substances contained in the tea produce new complexes under the catalysis of enzymes (due to low temperature killing, a part of the active enzymes are retained); The third is "microbial fermentation", in which microorganisms provided by sugar cane provide nutrients will decompose water-insoluble fibers into more and more abundant water-soluble polysaccharides and free amino acids. The combination of the above three paths reduces the bitterness of the tea soup, and becomes softer, sweeter, mellow, richer and fuller.
During the storage process of a Pu'er tea, the aroma of Pu'er tea is different at different storage time stages. For example, floral, fruity, honey, stale, woody, etc.
So what kind of environment is needed for storage?
The storage of Pu'er requires a relatively stable and pure environment: dry, odorless, protected from light, and ventilated.
The temperature is controlled at 20 30 normal temperature; Humidity is controlled within 75%; No peculiar smell, need to be stored in the environment, and there can be no other obvious odor; Avoiding sunlight and strong sunlight is required; Ventilation only needs to allow the tea cake to be properly exposed to the air, and cannot be placed in a large ventilated environment.
How to store tea in different packaging forms?
Independent cake tea, brick tea, and Tuo tea that are not lifted or boxed need to be stored in a sealed bag with an inner membrane.
If there is a complete package of pressed tea, it is packaged with bamboo shoot shells or kraft paper, and the whole one is stored in a carton together.
In addition, raw tea and cooked tea need to be stored separately, and if conditions permit, if the difference in years is too great, they also need to be stored separately.
Do you need to pry the tea open and wake up in the purple sand jar?
It's best to drink as you wake up. It is not recommended to "wake up" the unwrapped tea in a purple sand pot or clay pot for a long time, which will reduce the comprehensive performance of the tea soup to a certain extent. Tea that has been pried open and is recommended to be drunk within three months.
