Recently, it was learned from the Guangxi Mining Association that the "Detailed Investigation Report on Quartz Sand Mine in Pangwu Mining Area, Hepu County, Guangxi" undertaken by the Institute of Maritime Survey won the first prize of the Geological Prospecting Achievement Award for Non-metallic Minerals.
It is reported that the project is a geological and mineral exploration project of Guangxi Prospecting Breakthrough Strategic Action in 2020. The project completed field construction from April 2020 to August of the same year, and completed drilling construction with 54 holes and a footage of 208714 meters, one quartz sand ore body was controlled, and the ore intersecting rate of the drill hole was 100%. The project has completed all the physical work of the design, and the completion rate is more than 100%, and the amount of raw ore of quartz placer ore of glass siliceous raw material has been discovered to be 651970,000 tons, up to the scale of large-scale deposits, has a positive role in promoting the long-term development of Beihai glass industry and improving the quality of industrial development.
