During the Israeli-Palestinian war, Israel used the "Iron Dome" anti-aircraft missiles to intercept many rockets, but did this method work?
We can also learn from the Vietnam campaign. At that time, the United States sent 300,000 troops to South Vietnam, and they were 300,000 North Vietnamese soldiers who were transported from the Ho Chi Minh Highway. It seems to be evenly divided.
But what is the price that Americans will pay in a day to win this battle? How much did the North Vietnamese military spend on their day-to-day expenses?
In the forests of southern Vietnam, the armies of the North could be constantly supplied, and if their death toll was less than 10% of the year, then they could continue to fight.
Can the United States still fight a war without restrictions? The answer is no.
Therefore, since the Communist Party of Vietnam launched its New Year's offensive in January 1968, a discerning person can see that the defeat of the United States is a foregone conclusion, and it is only a matter of time.
So, let's go back to the Palestinian-Israeli struggle, and there are two points worth considering:
1. Will Israel be able to gain full control of Gaza?
Before the Israeli army attacked Gaza, we thought it would be easy, but now we understand that it is difficult to do so.
More than 50 days of fighting have been going on, and the Israeli army has not even been able to occupy half of the area north of Gaza.
In stark contrast, Iraq's combined Anglo-American forces emerged victorious in just 26 days.
2. If Israel has full control over Gaza, will it be able to stay here for long and continue to do so?
As you can imagine, the Israeli army has set up dozens of forts in Gaza, yet they are still facing attacks and harassment by Hamas militants emerging from underground passages.
Israel doesn't seem to be doing anything but reporting their losses on a daily basis.
Even when the Israeli army drove all the Gazans to Sinai, the adults were able to return to Gaza through the tunnels and fire rockets at the Israeli army at any time.
In this war, all the people are avenging their families.
Moreover, Iranian and Iraqi militants were not involved. This is an overly optimistic assumption.
At that point, we will see Israel repeat the American campaign in Vietnam.
The role of the U.S. has been replaced by Israeli forces, while Hamas has replaced guerrilla forces in southern Vietnam, as well as Iranian militants, Iraqi militants and Allah in Lebanon.
The Ho Chi Minh Pass has been replaced by the Gaza Pass.
Even a powerful country like the United States has only invaded Vietnam for a short period of 20 years, and Vietnam's main power has only been more than a decade.
So, I have a question for Israel: How much do you know about your own power?
