According to reports, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will conduct a survey on nearly 600 foreign-funded enterprises, 68% of the surveyed foreign-funded enterprises are small and micro enterprises, and 65% of the enterprises in China are concentrated in processing and manufacturing. The "2023 Q4 Survey Report on China's Foreign Investment Business Environment" has been compiled on this basis.

Yang Fan, spokesman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that according to the annual survey data, more than eighty percent of the surveyed foreign-funded enterprises rated China's business environment as "satisfied" or more in 2023, more than ninety percent believed that the Chinese market was attractive, and nearly seventy percent were optimistic about the prospects of the Chinese market in the next five years. "This shows that the fundamentals of China's economic stability and long-term improvement have not changed, and the 'magnetic attraction' of the Chinese market to foreign capital will become stronger and stronger. ”

At a regular press conference held on the same day, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade also released the "2023 China Business Environment Research Report". According to the report, in 2023, nearly ninety percent of the surveyed companies rated the business environment as "satisfactory" or above, and the overall evaluation of China's business environment by the surveyed enterprises was 436 out of 5.

According to the report, from the perspective of operation and investment, "using local resources" and "establishing production bases" are the main reasons for enterprises to invest in new factories; More than seventy percent of the surveyed enterprises have flat or increased revenue, and nearly eighty percent of the surveyed high-tech enterprises have achieved flat or increased revenue.

According to the report, the achievements in the construction of China's business environment in 2023 are mainly reflected in the continuous promotion of the transformation of functions and efficiency, the further improvement of the quality and efficiency of fiscal and taxation services, the acceleration of the formation of an open economic system, and the continuous improvement of infrastructure construction.
