Shuanglong Mountain
To the north of Cao Mountain, northeast of Pearl Bridge, is the higher peak on the east bank of Longzi Lake. It is connected to Cao Shan. But it has another magical name - Shuanglong Mountain.

Historically, the Yellow River began to move south from the Northern Song Dynasty, resulting in floods in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. At that time, Cao Lake under the slope of Cao Mountain, because it was a river beach lake, was either flooded or drought. As a result, the people by the lake, in the face of scorched seedlings, longed for a long drought and nectar, and turned their good wishes into the myth and legend of "Double Dragons Walking in the Rain".

According to legend, there is a year from spring to summer, not a drop of rain is seen, the noon season is not harvested, the crops planted in autumn are difficult to get to the ground, and the farmers who are hundreds of miles away along the lake have their hearts like soup boiling. But it didn't take long for a miracle to happen: the yellowed crops began to turn green, and moisture rose from the cracks in the ground.
The villagers were surprised and puzzled. One night, fisherman Cao Er was fishing by the lake when he suddenly saw a whirlpool in the center of the lake. After a while, two little white dragons rose from the water and swam around the lake, where they passed through the fog and rain, the crops were covered with crystal clear droplets, and the cracked fields were moistened.
As a result, the farmers moved the land temple to the lake and came to offer incense and rain. This offended the land lord, he scolded the little white dragon for raining privately, defrauding incense, violating the rules of heaven, and suing the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor was furious, and sent the dragon and the tiger to bring the heavenly soldiers and generals, and rode the two little white dragons to the time of the rain, ignoring the pleas of the people, and killed them on the spot.
The next morning, two little white dragons were found lying on the hillside, and they all covered them with straw mats, and took water from the lake to carry it to the mountain, and poured it on them, hoping that they would return to the lake at night with wind and rain and dew. However, a few days and nights passed, after all, there was no recovery, and when everyone opened the straw mat, it turned into two rows of bluestone. The two rows of bluestone on the bare hillside, intermittent and meandering to the lakeside, are said to be the relics left by the "Double Dragon Rain".
In order to cherish the memory forever, the farmers began to change the name of Cao Lake to "Dragon Lake", and the mountain to the north of Cao Mountain was also changed to "Shuanglong Mountain". In the Lingjiaba on the west bank of the lake (now the position of the north-south dividing marker), people also built a dragon king temple, and every time they look forward to the day, they have to enter the temple to burn incense and make sacrifices.

This beautiful legend is the expectation of people in the agricultural era that the wind and rain will be smooth. The times have changed, the stars on both sides of Longhu Lake have changed, and what people need most is to cross the lake surface where the water rises and falls, and build bridges for transportation. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the official road of Fengyang Mansion through Huaiyuan had to cross the "Xu Bridge" of the Longzi River. However, it has long been unable to meet the needs of modern Bengbu urban transportation. It is hoped that Bengbu, an emerging city, will be opened to all directions. In the early seventies of the last century, the "Pearl Bridge" was built at the east exit of Shengli Road; At the same time, a simple "Ssangyong Bridge" with a dam was built on the water surface of the river upstream to widen upstream. With the development of the urban area to the south, in order for the outer ring road to pass through Longhu, a modern highway bridge was erected at the location of the "Shuanglong Bridge".

When the Shuanglong Bridge was opened to traffic in October 2005, people seem to have forgotten its former place name. This bridge crosses the lake from Donghai Avenue to the east. The total length of the bridge is 796 meters, and the total width is 356 meters, the bridge type is a prestressed concrete continuous box girder bridge, the design abandons the shortcomings of a single non-change extra-long bridge, and pays more attention to the rhythm and rhythm of the bridge in the length direction, which not only increases the aesthetic taste of the bridge, but also gives the bridge the atmosphere of the times. As a landmark building in Bengbu Scenic Area, it is of great significance to the economy and transportation of Longhu Scenic Area and its surrounding areas.
Shuanglong Bridge reappears in a new scene, and the people on the lakeshore can't help but sigh with emotion: the two little white dragons that rained back then have turned into rainbows, lying on the sparkling lake, and are making new contributions to the modern Bengbu city.
