Gambo: The horse stepped on the swallow, and the new name was not artistic

The first treasure of the Gansu Provincial Museum is none other than "Horse Stepping on Feiyan".

Stand in front of the "Horse Stepping on the Swallow" and marvel at the unbridled imagination of the ancients. A galloping horse, in good shape, neighing with its head held high, galloping at a gallop. The galloping horse takes off on three legs and steps on a bird to show the speed of the flying horse and the vigor of the body.

Standing in front of the display case of the horse stepping on the swallow is full of spectators, it is a highly anticipated exhibit. But when it was first unearthed, it was just an "ordinary" artifact. "Horse Stepping on Feiyan" and more than 30 other "brothers and sisters" were unearthed in the late Han Dynasty tomb of Wuwei Leitai in Gansu Province in 69. At first, it was just a member of a group of bronze chariots and horses honor guards, until it was noticed by Guo Lao, who had the ability to say that he could do it. Its beautiful shape and imaginative design have caused a sensation at home and abroad. In 83, it was chosen as a graphic symbol of China's tourism industry. This also makes "Horse Riding Feiyan" more widely known.

"Horse Riding Feiyan" is already a household name, and now the name given on the nameplate of the museum is "Copper Galloping Horse", although it is more "exact", but it has no beauty at all, it is too straightforward. If the name is not really necessary, it is better not to change it easily. Just like Simu Wu Dafang Ding, when I was a child, I learned Si Mu Wu, and now it is called "Stepmother Wu", in fact, I didn't finally determine whether it was "Si" or "Hou", so I changed it in a hurry, and we who grew up learning "Si Mu Wu" to cause trouble!

The famous treasure of the Gansu Provincial Museum - Ma Ta Feiyan. Its current scientific name is "Copper Galloping Horse", which is not as good as "Horse Stepping on Feiyan", and it has completely lost its beauty.

People marvel at the imagination of the brass galloping horse's designer. Stepping on a bird with one foot shows the speed of the galloping horse and the vigor of the body.

Because this bird is not sure whether it is a swallow or what, it is theoretically not accurate to "horse stepping on Feiyan", and "copper galloping horse" can best reflect the "essence", but the beauty and poetry of the name are gone, and the cultural relics will inevitably appear too "cold and hard".

This cultural relic once again proves the importance of "Bole". Before being noticed by Guo Lao, it was just one of a group of bronze chariots and horses honor guards. Now it is a symbol of the country's tourism industry and a household name as a national treasure.

People are amazed by its ingenious conception and exquisite casting skills, and also feel at the insight of "Maxima often has but Bole does not often have".

Legend has it that "Horse Stepping on Feiyan" can't look at the front, no, is there anything wrong with the front? It's the state of a horse when it runs, with its nostrils open and its mouth open.

Isn't the "frontal photo" of a galloping horse beautiful?
