How do I send FT3 digital quantities using a protection relay tester?

Mondo Digital Updated on 2024-02-29

FT3 is a link-layer transmission frame format specified in the IEC60044-8 protocol. When using the relay protection tester to send FT3 digits, confirm the interval transformation ratio and name, and obtain the FT3 packet information of the Fibre Channel through the optical digital signal analyzer, including logical nodes, data sets, logical devices, rated delays, bit rates, sampling rates, etc.

Test equipment: Jibaoxing-7000 comprehensive digital relay protection tester, NSA-60 handheld optical digital signal analyzer

Jibao Star-7000 Comprehensive Digital Relay Protection Tester.

NSA-60 Handheld Optical Digital Signal Analyzer

To use the relay Star-7000 analog FT3 transmission, the adjacent transmission channel must be used to simulate the FT3 (in line with the communication logic of dual AD in digital quantity), and connect the FT3 transmission fiber to the FT3 transmit port 1 or 2.

Boot the Star-7000 to enter the main interface of the test system, click AC test, and configure the test parameters.

Click IEC61850 Settings to configure the communication parameters.

Communication parameter setting: Change the communication protocol to FT3 and set the FT3 communication data. Set FT3 channel 1, check TX1, set the sampling rate points and bit rate according to the communication data provided by the equipment manufacturer under test, and set the LNNAME (logical node), DSNAME (data set), ldname (logical device), and delay time (rated delay) according to the data obtained by the NSA-60 handheld optical digital signal analyzer.

Set FT3 channel 2 and select TX2, and the parameter settings are the same as those of TX1.

At the same time, select tx1 and tx2, click the coefficient setting, and confirm the corresponding mapping channel according to the provided data.

After the setting is completed, return to the AC test interface, and the output of the Star-7000 is completed, and check whether the FT3 sampling of the interval is displayed on the panel.

If the samples cannot be displayed, try troubleshooting: Use the NSA-60 to capture packets from the Relay Star-7000 output, if the packets cannot be obtained, check the Relay Star-7000 parameter settings. If packets can be obtained, check whether the connected optical fibers are intact, whether the interfaces are connected correctly, and check the bit rate and sampling rate of the device.
