The success or failure of a project rests directly on the shoulders of the project manager. Regardless of the root cause of the problem, it is always the project manager who ultimately takes responsibility. As a project manager, it's important to know how much responsibility you're carrying.

1. Planning ability.

Planning is a beacon of action, and if managers can't make plans, how can they lead their teams forward? For those projects that ignore the plan and lack the overall plan, their behavior will be blind and chaotic, leading to chaos in all matters of the project.

Project managers can use project management tools such as Progress Cats to create project plans. In the Gantt chart of the progress cat, we can clearly make the project plan, as shown in the following figure:

2. Process control ability.

The control process is to control the results, and the project manager tracks the progress of the project through the progress cat and views the progress of the project through the milestone and burndown chart. A milestone is a major event in a project that represents the completion of a deliverable that has a profound impact on the entire team.

3. Ability to organize and coordinate.

This includes allocating resources according to work tasks, controlling and motivating team activities, and enabling team members to work together and move forward together. Organizational and coordination capabilities cover many aspects such as organizational ability, delegation ability, conflict handling ability, and motivation ability of subordinates.

4. Ability to summarize and report.

The summary report is a key part of driving the progress of the work. It not only helps us improve our work ability, but also helps us find work patterns. Summary and report is a way to cultivate and improve work ability, and it is also an important means to unite the team and strive for the support of all links. By summarizing, we can learn lessons and find out the rules for doing a good job.
