The Ningxia Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for sandstorms at 20:15 on February 17: It is expected that within 24 hours, there will be sandstorms with visibility less than 1 km in Dawukou District, Huinong District, Pingluo County, Hongsibao District, Yanchi County, Tongxin County in Shizuishan City, Shapotou District and Zhongning County in Zhongwei City, please take precautions.
Up to now, there have been strong sandstorms with visibility less than 500 meters in Dawukou District, Huinong District, Taole Station and Shahu Station in Shizuishan City, Ningxia, Litong District and Yanchi County in Wuzhong City, and sandstorms with visibility less than 1,000 meters in Yinchuan and Zhongwei Cities and Pingluo County, Qingtongxia City, Hongsibao District and Tongxin County. The Yinchuan Meteorological Observatory, the Shizuishan Meteorological Observatory, and the Wuzhong Meteorological Observatory have all issued orange warning signals for sandstorms.
Affected by cold air and strong winds, it is expected that during the day on the 18th, Ningxia will have 4 5 (55～10.7 m sec) northerly wind, gusting to 7 9 magnitude (139～24.4 m sec) and still maintain visibility of 05 9 km of sand and dust weather.
