After receiving the alarm, Binhu Small Fire and Rescue Station immediately dispatched 1 fire truck and 5 commanders and fighters to the scene to deal with it. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they used motorized chainsaws to cut and break down broken branches on the side of the road and clean up fallen branches and leaves on the road. At 6:15, all the broken branches on the road were cleared, and the traffic on this section of the road returned to normal.
The snow cover causes the canopy to slope downward
At 8:25 a.m. on the 4th, the iron canopy on the top of the fourth floor of a street house at No. 4 Barracks Back Street, Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, was covered with snow, causing the canopy to tilt downward, and once it fell, it could hurt passers-by at any time. After receiving the alarm, the Baofeng Road Station of the Qiaokou Brigade of the Wuhan Fire and Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched 1 fire truck and 6 fire commanders and fighters to the scene for disposal. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that the tin canopy was only two anchor points from the wall and crumbling in the air. Immediately use a safety rope to secure the canopy, and set up a safety guard downstairs. After the canopy is fixed, the remaining two fixing points are removed, and the iron canopy is slowly lowered to the ground through safety ropes.
Snow caused trees to fall and crush an electric carport
At 12:55 a.m. on the 4th, a tree collapsed due to snow in the Erqiren Community in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City, and an electric carport collapsed, and about 40 electric bicycles were buried. After receiving the alarm, the Erqi Road Fire and Rescue Station immediately dispatched 1 fire truck and 5 firefighters to deal with it. After the firefighters arrived at the scene, they first used a motorized chainsaw to cut the fallen trees in sections, and after the trunk was cleared, they used a toothless saw to cut the steel frame of the electric carport, and finally moved all the buried electric bicycles to a safe place.
The snow caused the branches to break and press down on the power lines
At 15:01 pm on the 4th, in a residential area of Pu'an New Village, Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, due to snow, tree branches broke and pressed above the power lines, and the wires at the scene could be crushed at any time. After receiving the alarm, the paper mill fire rescue station immediately dispatched 1 fire truck and 5 firefighters to the scene for disposal. After nearly 1 hour of rescue, the broken branches at the scene were cleaned up, and then the firefighters evacuated after careful inspection and confirmed that there were no potential safety hazards at the scene.
