To modify package names in bulk in cadence, you can do the following:
1. Use the browse method:
1.Open Cadence's orcad software.
2.Select "edit" -browse "-parts" to enter the device editing page.
3.Use the selection filter to filter for components that need to modify the package.
4.After selecting all the target components, press "Ctrl+E" to enter the attribute editing interface.
5.Modify it in the PCB Footprint column and enter a new Footprint Name.
6.Make sure to click "S**E" and "OK" below to save your changes.
Use the property editing method:
1.Open the schematic and navigate to the page where the component needs to be modified.
2.Press Ctrl+F to bring up the Find dialog and set the filter criteria to select all components for which the footprint needs to be modified.
3.Press Ctrl E to bring up the property edit window and select the "PCB Footprint" column.
4.Press Ctrl E again and enter the new package name in the dialog box that pops up.
5.Click OK to complete the batch editing.
6.Individual corrections can be made to components that have been modified incorrectly.
