Isn't it too wasteful to study electrical engineering and its automation, and not go to the State Grid?
Many students choose to study electrical engineering and automation after the college entrance examination, with the aim of entering the national network after graduation, and then getting a stable job with a good salary is also a good direction of development.
However, with the passage of time, the job search goals of some students have changed, and the national network is very good, but it seems that there are other options, in the case of indecision, I don't know if studying electrical and automation engineering, is it a waste of resources not to enter the national network?
In fact, national networks are not always something you can join if you want to, and even if you spend a lot of time and effort, you may not be able to become a member of a national network.
Of course, some students who choose to major in electrical engineering and automation do not go to the State Grid, they have better options, which is not necessarily a waste of resources. Electrical & Automation Engineering graduates from some prestigious universities can go to many places.
Like Qingbei Shangjiao, Zhejiang University, etc., to continue their studies for a doctorate, choose a school, change to a high-paying career, etc., are all very good choices, no worse than the national network, they do not have to be limited to the national network.
In addition, some of the former universities directly affiliated to the Ministry of Electric Power, etc., the graduates of electrical engineering and automation from these colleges and universities still hope to enter the State Grid for employment as a whole.
After all, when you go to power stations, design institutes, energy production enterprises, etc., you have to work remotely, and you have to work overtime, and your salary is relatively lower than that of the State Grid.
In this case, choosing the State Grid is undoubtedly a better choice, with good treatment, maybe you can return to your hometown for employment, or choose the State Grid of your hometown provincial capital for employment. In the power industry, it is already a high-level employment direction.
In addition, the ordinary colleges and universities that offer electrical engineering and automation majors, the possibility of their graduates being able to enter the State Grid is not very large, and the possibility of entering the State Grid is a priority option, if you are lucky enough to enter the State Grid, you will give up, which is a waste of resources.
Of course, speaking directly about theory is not as real as actual data, as shown in the employment direction of Sichuan University's 2023 master's degree in electrical engineering, many graduates went to State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and its subordinate enterprises, as well as State Grid Electric Power Company and its subsidiaries in other provinces.
In addition, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, North China Electric Power University, Hebei University of Technology and other universities also have a similar situation, which shows that joining the State Grid is considered a better development channel, and other channels are not so stable.
Working at the National Grid means:"Life in sight"-- After all, it's very stable. As long as you don't make mistakes in principle, you can basically work for the State Grid until retirement. Some people don't like an all-encompassing life and feel that there is nothing new in life.
Maybe the national network is not a very good consideration for this type of student, they have ideas, they have a sense of novelty, they want to have a bigger stage to show themselves, they want to have doubts about their life path, in this case, they don't choose the national network, they are talking about a waste of resources.
In short, everyone's situation is different, and in general, since electrical engineering and its automation are applied, it would be better to focus on the national grid. Especially for children from ordinary families, there is no second way, and every opportunity to enter the bank is very precious, and it is not advisable to give up the national grid.
