BYD unveiled at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show

On February 26, BYD shined at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, showcasing eight new energy models, including Yangwang, a million-dollar high-end brand that made its European debut, and its flagship model, the U8. This exhibition not only demonstrates BYD's leading position in the field of new energy vehicles, but also marks the acceleration of its globalization strategy.

At the press conference, BYD showcased its self-developed DM-i super hybrid technology to European consumers, and announced that the Song Plus DM-i (named Seal U DM-i in overseas version) equipped with this technology will be launched in Europe in the second quarter of 2024. The launch of this technology aims to meet the diversified travel needs of European users and provide them with an efficient and energy-efficient driving experience.

Shu Youxing, general manager of BYD's European car sales division, said that the launch of DM-i super hybrid technology is an important milestone for BYD in the field of green mobility. He believes that this technology will be a key force in driving the transition to green mobility and helping more consumers to embrace electric vehicles.

In addition to the demonstration of DM-i technology, BYD also brought the first flagship model U8 that its high-end brand looks up to. With its disruptive technology and outstanding performance, this model became one of the highlights of the Geneva Motor Show. At the press conference, BYD's design director Wolfgang Iger gave an in-depth interpretation of the design concept of the U8, emphasizing its sustainable luxury characteristics.

In addition, BYD's DENZA brand was also unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, and its first luxury MPV, the D9, and the intelligent luxury hunting SUV N7 attracted the attention of many exhibitors. As the official partner of Euro 2024, BYD's new energy vehicles will also provide green travel services for the event.

In 2023, BYD will sell more than 3 million new energy vehicles, ranking first in global new energy vehicle sales. Since entering the European passenger car market in September 2022, BYD has rapidly launched a number of new energy vehicles to 19 European countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Norway, with a total of more than 250 stores. In the future, BYD will continue to use technological innovation and high-quality new energy products to meet the green travel needs of European and global users, and contribute to the realization of the goal of "cooling the earth by 1°C".
