The SATRA SETRA SVP Average Velocity Probe is a mechanical component of the differential pressure transmitter of the wind speed sensor. It is connected to a pressure sensor to form the wind speed air volume sensor, developed on the basis of the pitot tube measurement principle, where the flow q is equal to the average wind speed v of the pipe multiplied by the effective cross-sectional area s of the pipe. SVP probes utilize the equal area principle, have diamond-shaped cross-sections, are clearly marked on their own scales, and are mounted in square or round ducts, making them the air velocity sensor of choice.
