Let's go, let's take a look.

Little Orchid's way home.

In February 2023, Shao Moumou went to the mountains and forests of Tengchong City to dig 17 wild orchid plants 5 times, and used them for cultivation and ornamentation after digging. It was identified that 4 clusters of orchids were Chunlan and 13 were Stanophyllum orchids, all of which were national second-class key protected wild plants.

Wild orchids play an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance and protecting biodiversity, and on September 7, 2021, the adjusted "List of National Key Protected Wild Plants" officially included wild orchids in the national key protected wild plants, and unauthorized mining, illegal acquisition, and transportation are prohibited. Shao's behavior caused damage to the ecological environment and wild plant resources in the region.

In November 2023, the Tengchong Municipal Procuratorate filed a criminal attached civil public interest lawsuit to the Tengchong Municipal People's Court, and the Tengchong Municipal People's Court fully supported the litigation request, and Shao Moumou made a public apology for his behavior of endangering national key protected plants, printed wildlife protection brochures for publicity and distribution, and transplanted wild orchids illegally for ecological restoration.

Under the supervision of the Tengchong Municipal Procuratorate, the Court, the Public Security Bureau, the Forestry and Grassland Bureau, the Forest Chief's Office, the Gaoligong Mountain Tengchong Management and Protection Branch and other departments, Shao Moumou transplanted the 17 wild orchids he illegally harvested to the "Gaoligong Mountain Yunnan West Extremely Small Population Special Garden" for transplanting in a suitable environment and returning to the natural growth environment.

Since the launch of the procuratorial public interest litigation work, the Tengchong Municipal Procuratorate has given full play to its public interest litigation functions, and has worked with multiple departments to effectively help biodiversity conservation through methods such as proliferation and release, replanting and reforestation, compensation for resource damages, and publicity and education on the rule of law, and has achieved remarkable results.
