Lithography machine ** interrupted! Are we going to sit back and wait? us
Text: Puppy Conversation Technology.
After the revocation of the shipment license of the lithography machine, ASML received new information that under pressure from the United States, lithography equipment that is not subject to export control (DUV's mature technology equipment) cannot be shipped to the continental United States market. It's not difficult, it's lithography"Break the cooking"Moment.
And in terms of our current internal demand for ASML lithography equipment, as well as our independent research and development process, although there are some advances and inventory. However, it is still very difficult to alleviate the current pain period, especially in the case of increasing internal demand for chips, it is difficult to find a replacement with such a large production capacity as ASML.
So the question is, can we sit idly by?
In this regard, the head of our delegation to the EU made it clear that the ingenuity of the Chinese must not be underestimated on the issue of lithography technology. At the same time, we also stressed that we do not want to go so far as to take action against the other side, as this will only create a lose-lose situation. However, if it is really difficult to balance the situation, we will take reciprocal measures as a last resort.
These words send three signals.
On the one hand, when it comes to lithography, we will always be self-sufficient, regardless of whether they are limited or not. And don't underestimate the ingenuity of Chinese engineers and other scientists in lithography technology. In other words, we will always have greater discoveries, and there will always be greater discoveries to alleviate the opportunities that are being stifled right now.
In fact, we're not exaggerating; ASML's CEO has repeatedly emphasized in the past that Chinese scientists are admired because of their hard work and development. And all because they don't have access to lithography machines, so they make them themselves.
While they cut off our lithography technology**, we had no choice but to build our own. Because only in this way can we develop our own semiconductors. It's just that many Western countries believe that relying on restrictions will hinder our development.
Secondly, for now we will continue to welcome foreign investors, even if they are restricted by the ban.
This is equivalent to a side response to the large number of voices in China who want to oppose the restrictions. Because, in the shadow of the ban on some domestic companies, there are those who think that we should also exclude their companies to one"Don't let me be nice to you"The big way. From an irrational point of view, this is a good direction of development. But we must also be clear that this is a win-win situation. We have been committed to globalization in the past, and we welcome more foreign investors to the African continent market so that they can improve their performance, while at the same time we keep our commitment to all foreign companies.
Therefore, as long as they follow our rules, it is impossible for us to behave in this way. Because of this, we can maintain the situation of attracting foreign investment.
Thirdly, we still have a lot of anti-limit cards in our hands, and if we can't reach a satisfactory situation through good communication. In this case, we have no choice but to move on to the stage of mutual limitation, although we are not prepared to see that happen. In fact, the point is"Let them know", rather than treating Chinese companies unfairly – after all, not everyone will be happy when it's time to make a big move. In short, let's not wait any longer.
