In our home life, the blockage of the sewer may have been encountered by many people. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying when you run into it. If the sewer in the kitchen is blocked, it is inconvenient to wash vegetables and wash rice, and if the sewer in the bathroom is blocked, it is even more troublesome, and you have to go out even to the toilet.
Of course, after the sewer is blocked, you have to find a way to unclog it. The simplest is to pour hot water, which mainly uses the increase in the solubility of some substances in hot water and the thermal expansion caused by temperature changes to loosen the silt in the pipeline, which is easier to be washed down by water. This approach has some effect when the blockage is not too severe.
The other is to use a special sewer unclogger. There are probably two kinds of these dredging devices, one is the dredging claw, which is a coil spring of steel wire, which can reach into the sewer to agitate, and directly use mechanical force to poke the silt of the pipe open. The advantage is that the effect is generally more obvious, but the disadvantage is that it is often difficult to remove the siltation, and it may not be long before the pipeline is blocked. The other is the so-called "one-shot pipeline", that is, the skin puff, which loosens the siltation by creating air pressure ** in the pipeline. However, the pressure of the skin is limited and may be less effective if the blockage is severe. In addition, if the middle of the pipe is not sealed, such as the kitchen drain, it will not be effective.
The third option, which may be the most convenient, is to use chemical reagents specifically for pipe dredging, which are now available in supermarkets or online. These reagents are specially formulated by the manufacturer for sewer blockages in the home, and the composition is special to effectively dissolve the silt in the pipes. These chemical reagents are available in powder and aqueous forms. Before using the powder, you have to add water to prepare it yourself, so relatively speaking, the water agent is more convenient to use. When using, pour the water agent directly into the blocked pipe, after a period of time (about an hour, if the siltation is serious for a longer time), the siltation will be dissolved almost, and then pour a large amount of hot water, generally the pipe can be completely dredged.
But speaking of which, waiting until the sewer is blocked before unclogging it is always a hassle, so it's best to keep the sewer clear at all times. And the third method of sewer mentioned above can do this. As long as you pour some pipe dredging fluid into the sewer every once in a while, you can ensure that the pipes are not blocked. Of course, you have to decide how long this interval is. The drain in my own kitchen used to be blocked, but after I washed the dishes and chopsticks every day, I poured a bottle cap into the drain called "Mr. Vermeer Pipeline", and after half a year, I never blocked it.
However, it should be noted that the chemical reagents used for pipeline dredging are generally toxic and corrosive, so you should be careful when storing them, and there are some pipes that cannot be used (such as aluminum or aluminum alloy pipes), so you should pay attention to them when using them.
