It is understood that the standard was led by the Nanning Customs Technology Center, and the Guangxi Standardization Association, Guangxi-ASEAN Food Inspection and Testing Center, Hengzhou Comprehensive Inspection and Testing Center, Hengzhou Agricultural Technology Extension Station, Hengzhou Plant Protection Station, Hengzhou Jasmine Industry Service Center and other units participated in the formulation. The standard was approved by the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2021, and after 3 years of food safety toxicology test evaluation, more than 30 batches of fresh jasmine (bud) and dried jasmine (bud) sensory requirements, physical and chemical indicators and safety indicators, and after extensive consultation and review by authoritative experts in the region, it was officially approved and released on January 2, 2024, and will be officially implemented on February 2, 2024.
The output of jasmine and jasmine tea in Hengzhou accounts for more than 80% of the country's total output and more than 60% of the world's total output, and the export volume of jasmine dried flowers ranks first in the world.
