Wang Yangming: People have to grind in things, and meditate all day long like dry bones

Seeking stillness in stillness is false stillness, and keeping quiet in motion is true quiet.

This issue has already been mentioned in the previous article, and the reason why it has been emphasized again and again is because I am afraid that some people will only care about seeking tranquility, and once they return to life, they will feel powerless and clueless.

A pool of water, if it does not flow, will eventually become stagnant water, foul-smelling; A heart, if it is silent, is like a broken melon and fruit, useless.

Before Wang Yangming became enlightened, he also liked to meditate, eliminate distracting thoughts through meditation, and then integrate and rehearse the theoretical knowledge of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism he had learned in his inner world again, and finally realized that "the heart is reason".

However, after enlightenment, Wang Yangming was very opposed to blind meditation.

For an ordinary person, even if he sits quietly all day for ten or twenty years, his kung fu will not make any progress.

It is like falling into a real "empty door", without a single thought, like dead ashes, thus losing the value of life.

Learning knowledge is to serve life, otherwise it is just paper.

Of course, everyone's life direction is different, if you just want to be an expert and scholar, then talking on paper is your forte, and you are not wrong.

However, if you want to be a sage or sublimate your life to a higher level, if you are still talking on paper, then your sin is great, and your life is really "useless".
