On January 29, the Department of Emergency Medicine held the 2023 Annual Emergency Medicine Work Summary and 2024 Discipline Development Seminar in the Party Member Activity Room on the second floor. The meeting was chaired by Gu Wei, director of the Department of Emergency Medicine. More than 30 medical staff from emergency medicine, surgery, nursing, and EICU attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Gu Wei gave a report on the theme of "Emergency Medicine Department that has been tested and moved forward firmly". He first reviewed the development of the department in 2023. In 2023, the Department of Emergency Medicine will achieve three "one" small steps, namely: further improvement of medical service capacity; discipline construction and scientific research and academic level have been further improved; The cultural construction of the department has been further improved. Through the unity and cooperation of all medical staff in the Department of Emergency Medicine, in 2023, the Department of Emergency Medicine will establish and improve the diagnosis and treatment unit that meets the requirements of the "tertiary hospital", and the diagnosis and treatment volume and medical income will hit a record high; In September, it was approved by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission as the 2023 Beijing Key Specialty Cultivation Project; Acute and critical rescue techniques such as hypothermia**, bedside hemofiltration, mechanical ventilation respiratory support, bedside bronchoscopy, bedside ultrasound, tracheostomy and hemodynamic monitoring can be carried out. Gu Wei said that in 2023, the emergency medicine department, as the forefront of the hospital, has experienced challenges again and again such as the peak of severe cases of the new crown and the peak of respiratory infections. All the medical staff of the department have always taken the treatment of critically ill patients as their own responsibility, worked hard to overcome difficulties, and received more than 5,000 critically ill patients throughout the year, successfully completed the task of treating critically ill patients, and handed in satisfactory answers to the people.
In terms of discipline influence and talent training, the "Expert Consensus on Emergency Diagnosis and Treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in the Elderly in China" led by Gu Wei was officially published; Hosted the "Fifth Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute and Severe Infectious Diseases" Forum, and participated in the conference online190,000 people; Relying on the key specialty projects of Beijing, we jointly held 4 academic conferences on acute and critical diseases and infections with the Department of Infectious Diseases, and invited experts from tertiary hospitals to give lectures. He has published 5 academic papers, and the graduate student Zhang Wenbo has been awarded the "Clinical Study on the Effect of Advanced Improved Early Warning Scoring Model on the Occurrence of In-hospital Cardiac Arrest in Critically Ill Patients" as "Annual Excellent of the Emergency Medicine Branch of Beijing Medical Association" and has been approved for 2 national new patents.
At the meeting, Gu Wei conveyed the relevant content of the hospital retreat and development seminar to the participants, and said that in 2024, the department will resolutely implement the development policy of the hospital in the new year of "seeking a new chapter and establishing a new bureau", start a new journey of polishing the brand of "Beijing Minimally Invasive Hospital", and hand over a satisfactory answer sheet for the high-quality development of the hospital and the improvement of patients' medical experience.
When looking forward to the work in 2024, Gu Wei said that the Department of Emergency Medicine will continue to carry forward the "spirit of vertical medicine", uphold the original intention and mission of doctors, prevent and control risks, strengthen the foundation, find the correct positioning, improve quality and efficiency, and resolutely implement various work requirements with continuous improvement of patient services as the main line. The Department of Emergency Medicine will be guided by the development plan of the hospital during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and strive to improve the core strength and competitiveness of the department; Continue to strengthen the construction of disciplines, implement hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, and ensure the treatment of patients at all levels of greenway; In accordance with the requirements of the guidelines for the construction of emergency departments, we will vigorously develop regional acute and critical care centers with "major emergency and first aid", and continue to strive to meet the treatment needs of critically ill patients in the southeast of Chaoyang District.
