On January 4, 2024, we lost an outstanding woman, Comrade Hao Zhiping, who died in Beijing at the age of 102 due to ineffective medical treatment. As the wife of Comrade ***, the founding general, Comrade Hao Zhiping was full of revolutionary enthusiasm and dedication throughout her life, and her death is a great loss to our country and people.
Hao Zhiping (1922-January 4, 2024), born and raised in Chengjiao Village, southwest of Linzhang, Handan City, Hebei Province, was an anti-Japanese hero and outstanding communist fighter.
She joined the Eighth Route Army in 1938 and joined the Communist Party of China in the same year, making significant contributions to the country's liberation. During her career, she served as secretary of the General Branch of the Political Department of the 18th Group Army, director of the Office of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, and adviser to the Political Department of the General Staff, demonstrating her outstanding leadership skills and firm revolutionary beliefs.
In 1955, she was awarded the rank of colonel, in recognition of her outstanding contributions. Despite her many career achievements, she didn't stop there.
She continues to contribute to the society, and is currently the executive vice president of the Chinese Association for the Study of Calligraphy and Painting for the Elderly and the president of the Chinese Association for the Promotion of the Elderly, committed to fighting for the welfare and rights of the elderly.
Whether in her military career or in social welfare, Hao Zhiping has shown her wisdom and courage. Her whole life was dedicated to the well-being of the country and its people.
