Wuling Motors announced on January 31 the launch of its newest electric van, Wuling Yangguang, which is designed for the commercial transportation market and aims to provide a new productivity tool for independent transportation workers and the express logistics industry.
The dimensions of Wuling Yangguang are 4,985 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,975 mm high, and the wheelbase is 3,050 mm. The front of the car is designed with a semi-long head, which provides more passive safety than the flat-top model.
The base model is available in Blue Grey and Polar White, and features LED headlamps and a reversing radar. The vehicle's fast and slow charging ports are located at the front of the vehicle, and the fast charging can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
There is a hard partition between the front cab and the rear cargo compartment, and there are two seats in the cab, which are equipped with dual power windows, manual air conditioning, an 8-inch entertainment screen (high-spec version) and electric power steering. The rear closed cargo compartment provides two ways of loading and unloading on the right side of the sliding door and the tail door, and the cargo compartment volume is 65 cubic meters, the maximum load capacity is 1249 kg (about 1.).249 tons).
In terms of power, Wuling Yangguang is equipped with Wuling Red No. 1 lithium iron phosphate battery, which is available in two battery versions, with a range of 230 kilometers and 300 kilometers respectively, to meet the needs of urban distribution and short- and medium-distance logistics. The rear motor is provided by Wuhan Institute of Technology Tongyu Xinyuan Power***, with a maximum power of 60 kW and a peak torque of 220 Nm. The new model is expected to go on sale in the spring of 2024.
