According to reports, since December 2023, in response to multiple rounds of cold waves, the world's largest clean energy corridor composed of six cascade power stations in Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges and Gezhouba has been guaranteed at the peak, and the single-day power generation and peak regulation capacity of cascade power stations have hit a new high in the same period in history.
The cascade power station is equipped with 110 hydro-generator sets, with a capacity of 7,16950,000 kilowatts Tang Xufeng, deputy director and chief engineer of the Three Gorges Electric Power Plant, said that the Yangtze River Electric Power carefully arranged and deployed the peak winter, New Year's Day and Spring Festival to ensure power supply, strengthened hydrometeorological forecasting, rolled optimization of the scheduling plan, increased the inspection of equipment and facilities, and dispatched the cascade power station to ensure the peak supply, and the maximum single-day power generation of the cascade power station was 8600 million kilowatt hours, with a maximum peak regulation capacity of more than 31 million kilowatts, continuously delivering clean electricity to Central China, East China, South China, Sichuan, Yunnan and Chongqing.
