Pothos is a common houseplant that can bloom. In general, pothos can bloom in the spring if it is properly maintained in a suitable environment.
Pothos usually blooms from March to May, and the peduncle is drawn from the leaf axil, and many small flowers grow on the peduncle, which are white or yellowish in color.
Pothos cuttings propagation generally has the following three ways:
Water cutting: Take healthy pothos shoots, cut them into 10-15 cm long segments, and cut off the leaves at the bottom of the branches, leaving only a few leaves at the top. Insert the shoots into the water, taking care not to let the shoots touch the surface of the water to avoid infecting bacteria. The water interpolation method is simple to operate, has a high survival rate, and is suitable for novice operations.
Soil cutting: Take healthy pothos branches, cut them into 10-15 cm long segments, and cut off the leaves at the bottom of the branches, leaving only a few leaves at the top. Insert the shoots into the soil to a depth of 1 3-1 2 of the shoots. The soil planting method is suitable for spring and autumn, the temperature is high in summer, it is easy to be infected with germs, and the temperature is low in winter, and the survival rate of cuttings is low.
Air interpolation: Select healthy pothos shoots, cut them into 10-15 cm long segments, and cut off the leaves at the bottom of the branches, leaving only a few leaves at the top. Insert the shoots into a foam board or sponge, then place the foam board or sponge in the water and let the shoots absorb water through the foam board or sponge. The air interpolation method is suitable for both summer and winter, where the temperature is high in summer and the water is absorbed through the foam board or sponge, which can reduce the water temperature, and in the winter when the temperature is low, the water temperature can be increased by absorbing the water through the foam board or sponge.
Pothos is a relatively easy plant to maintain, it is very adaptable to the environment, does not need too much light and fertilizer, and does not need much water.
Pothos prefers a warm and humid environment, the most suitable growing temperature is 20-30, avoid direct sunlight in summer, and pay attention to keeping warm in winter. The maintenance of pothos is relatively simple, as long as you pay attention to the above points, you can raise healthy and beautiful pothos.
