Rice Kheer Pudding Recipe

Rice Kheer pudding is a mouth-watering dessert made from basic ingredients such as milk, short-grain rice, and sugar. It's a rich, creamy dish that delights with every scoop. By slow-cooking rice in milk until it reaches a sweet consistency, this classic rice recipe is infused with the aromatic essence of cardamom and garnished with nutty crunch of almonds and pistachios.

4 cups milk. 1 2 cups sugar.

1 tablespoon ghee.

2 tablespoons mixed dried fruits.

Add water as needed. 1 2 cups rice.

1 2 cups condensed milk.

1 pinch saffron.

1 4 teaspoons ground green cardamom.

Step 1: Soak the rice for 30 minutes.

Wash the rice and soak it in water for about 30 minutes. Drain the water.

Step 2: Fry the rice in ghee.

In a thick-bottomed saucepan, add ghee and drained rice and sauté for a few minutes until it becomes slightly transparent.

Step 3: Cook the rice with milk.

Pour in the hot milk, add the saffron, bring to a boil, and continue simmering until the rice is cooked and the mixture thickens.

Step 4: Add the remaining ingredients and make the kheer

Add the sugar, cardamom powder and condensed milk, stir well and simmer until the kheer reaches the desired consistency.

Step 5: Serve with your favorite nuts.

Remove the kheer from the heat, add the nuts and allow to solidify into the desired shape, then serve with the sauce and garnish of your choice.
