The reporter learned from Guangdong Huitian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xiaopeng Huitian) that on January 9, local time in Las Vegas, the United States, the Xiaopeng Huitian land-air integrated flying car appeared at the 2024 International Consumer Electronics Show (Consumer Electronics Show, referred to as CES), which is the first public appearance of Xiaopeng Huitian integrated flying car on the international stage since its release in October last year. Wang Tan, co-founder and vice president of Xpeng Huitian, announced at a press conference that another "land aircraft carrier" split flying car will be available for pre-order in the fourth quarter of this year, and mass production and delivery are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of next year.

It is understood that CES is the world's largest consumer technology industry event, and it is a window for various companies to show their high-tech level and advocate future lifestyles. This year's CES will be held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12 local time, with a total of 4,000+ exhibitors and is expected to welcome 130,000+ attendees. It is worth noting that there are more than 1,000 Chinese companies among this year's exhibitors, accounting for a quarter of the seats at CES, and Chinese technology is gradually gaining a higher influence in the global technology and innovation market.
Wang Tances, co-founder and vice president of Xpeng Huitian, introduced the flying car on the spot.
Gu Hongdi, Vice Chairman and Co-President of Xpeng Motors, introduced the future travel ecological layout of Xpeng Motors.
The land-air integrated flying car exhibited by Xpeng Huitian this time is designed for the future three-dimensional transportation. In land mode, the flight system such as the arm and rotor can be completely folded and stored into the vehicle body; Through the folding and deformation system, the arm can be opened to switch to flight mode, and vertical take-off and landing can be achieved in an environment where conditions permit, flying over congestion, obstacles, rivers, etc., to meet the needs of people for short-distance low-altitude travel. In addition, the land-air integrated flying car also adopts forward-looking "black technologies" such as a foldable steering wheel, a transparent instrument panel, and a transparent chassis in the cockpit, and the intelligent cockpit can freely switch between land mode and flight mode.

The practical application of the all-in-one flying car needs to match the software and hardware construction and application scenario construction of future cities, so Xpeng Huitian expects this product to be mass-produced in the next step. And the split flying car they first want to mass-produce has a domineering title - "land aircraft carrier". It is composed of two parts, the land body and the flying body, the land body can be completely stored in the car, the ground movement, and can be automatically separated and combined like a "transformer".
At the CES event, Wang Tan, co-founder and vice president of Xpeng Huitian, announced to the world** that the split flying car will be available for pre-order in the fourth quarter of 2024, and mass production and delivery are planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2025. If it is successfully realized, it means that the "land aircraft carrier" will become the world's first split flying car for mass production and delivery for individual users.
In 2013, Huitian was established and began to explore manned vehicles. In 2020, He Xiaopeng and Xiaopeng Motors jointly invested in Huitian, and Xiaopeng Huitian headquarters was established in Panyu. Xpeng Huitian is committed to "giving wings to automobiles", creating real land and air flying cars, and providing products and solutions for human urban three-dimensional transportation. In this CES, Xpeng Huitian brought two newly developed flying cars to the international stage. On the first day of the exhibition, Huitian's booth became the focus of the CES audience, attracting the attention of many international ** and on-site audiences, who were full of curiosity and expectation about the flying car, and said that it was unimaginable that China had built a "science fiction" flying car.
The rapid development of Xpeng Huitian has benefited from China's efforts in the field of low-altitude economy in recent years. In October 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China jointly issued the "Green Aviation Manufacturing Industry Development Outline (2023-2035)", which put forward a clear time plan for EVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) and flying cars: by 2025, pilot operation will be realized, and by 2035, a green aviation manufacturing system with integrity, advancement, and safety will be built, and new energy aircraft will become the mainstream of development. At the ** Economic Work Conference in December 2023, the "low-altitude economy" was clearly listed as a national strategic emerging industry. Various localities have also made efforts to deploy more policies. China's forward-looking layout in low-altitude will surely lead the arrival of the era of global personal low-altitude travel.
