Narcissists, or narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), have some cleverness, but these cleverness is not because of how wise they are, but because of the skills they have acquired in order to survive.
For narcissists to survive, they can't do without narcissistic supply. They are constantly looking for targets, finding blood packets, triggering negative emotions in the other person to satisfy narcissistic needs. In the crowd, judging who is more likely to be their own blood bag is a skill that narcissists are constantly honing. This skill is related to whether they can survive or not, so it naturally seems to be engraved in their bones.
But a little cleverness can't become great wisdom, and narcissists can't hide their stupidity.
1.Narcissists will act smart
It's like a narcissist will act that they are kind, care about you, and have a lot of empathy skills, and they will also act smart. Narcissists may deliberately talk about areas that the other person has not touched, both to show their intelligence and to get the other person to praise themselves. Or they may try to make themselves look smart by denying others. Therefore, narcissists will be very anxious to deny the other person, and sometimes they will not have time to figure out what the other person wants to express, so they will be in a hurry to deny.
2.Narcissists don't accept other opinions
Narcissists do not accept different points of view, because for them to accept a different point of view means that they are denied, which subverts the false world they have constructed. Narcissists live in a false world of their own construction, they think they are impeccable, they are all right, and those around them need to surrender or praise them. However, if a person wants to make continuous progress, he must be aware of his own shortcomings, actively contact different points of view, hear different voices, and take the essence and eliminate the dross. But narcissists have imprisoned themselves in their false world, closed the avenue for accepting different points of view, and have no way to attain great wisdom.
3.Narcissists don't cooperate
As social animals, human beings cannot do without cooperation in various forms. The ideal cooperation model should be one in which both parties respect each other, tolerate each other, and find the best way to cooperate through effective communication. However, it is impossible for narcissists to cooperate because they think that cooperation means thinking about the other person, which in their view is tantamount to relinquishing dominance. Being around narcissists can often be exhausting because they are unable to collaborate effectively or listen to other people's perspectives. Even if you try your best to explain the facts and make the truth, they will still be stubborn, insist on going their own way, and even blame you in turn.
