There are thousands of paths in life, and everyone is moving forward on their own trajectory. Sometimes, we don't like people and things and have to deal with them. When we encounter something we don't like but can't change, patience is our only option.

According to big data, 6% of international students in the United States fail to graduate every year, mainly due to academic problems such as failing courses, plagiarism, and cheating. The difficulty of graduating in the United States is much higher than in other countries, and in addition to completing credits, the GPA must also meet the requirements of the school. The freshman year course is relatively easy, but in the sophomore year, the difficulty of the major course increases significantly. Due to the influence of the environment and friends, some international students begin to relax and participate in various activities and neglect their studies, resulting in the failure to obtain a degree.

Many of my friends around me are not going well in their studies, their grades in professional courses are not up to standard, they have failed the compulsory courses of First Year Writing, and the GPA of Undeclared students has not met the criteria for entering the major. These factors will lead to the postponement of graduation, and I even know that many Chinese have not entered the major after studying in the United States for many years, and the postponement of graduation puts them under huge financial pressure, and finally they cannot see the hope of graduation, and choose to give up after a few years.

If the school rules are violated, we may also choose to deal with the grievance in order to recover the penalties that may be imposed. If the circumstances are minor, they will generally receive a warning from the school and will be dealt with with zero points; If the GPA is too low or academically dishonest, you may be expelled from the school or suspended. After being expelled, transferring may be an option, but it will extend our undergraduate studies to 6 to 7 years, which is not cost-effective, and there may be a limited number of acceptable transfer school rankings.

On the road to studying abroad, loneliness and stress are unavoidable. Despite the difficulties, we are still moving forward. Some people choose to take a leave of absence because they are unable to continue their studies due to low GPA and depression. In the face of such a situation, the method of direct graduation may be considered, but only if the problems that affect the academic performance are solved.

If you can't get an undergraduate degree, it may be a good choice to apply for a master's degree directly through background improvement, so that you can give yourself and your parents an explanation. For students who have already reached the third or fourth year, if they are only a few majors away from graduating, it will be a waste of time to transfer to another school, so it is more appropriate to choose to study for a master's degree. In this way, you can not only get your degree as soon as possible, but also solve the dilemma of not graduating from your bachelor's degree.

Of course, there are many other challenges in studying abroad. Language barriers and cultural differences are inevitable problems in the life of studying abroad. As huge as these challenges may seem, we must remember that everyone has their own journey and schedule. When we encounter setbacks, we need patience and courage to believe that we can overcome them. When we are faced with difficulties, we should not give up, but should look for ways to solve them. Only in this way can we continue to move forward on the road of studying abroad and realize our dreams.
