The leaders of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand jointly issued a threat against Israel on February 15, saying they could carry out a "catastrophic" military attack on the city of Rafah, south of Gaza.

The report pointed out that the three Commonwealth member states issued a rare joint declaration amid Israel's escalation, expressing growing concerns and calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to "stop making the same mistake again."

"There are 1.4 million Palestine refugees, many of whom are our nationals and members of their families," the three U.S. allies said.

If we continue to expand, the consequences will be dire. We call on Israel** to abandon this practice. Ordinary people have nowhere to run. ”

Netanyahu said he vowed to keep his army moving forward, despite growing international pressure and official reports from Gaza, where more than 28,000 people had already been killed.

He assured that in the near future Israeli forces would launch a "powerful" military strike against the city of Rafah. Rafah is now home to large numbers of refugees from other parts of Gaza, who have been forced uprooted by the conflict.
