"Walk slowly, slip carefully, and hold on to the branches around you ......In the hinterland of the mountainous region of northwest Hubei Province, four red figures walked through the snow-covered mountain forest, and Wu Liqun's several shouts broke the silence, but they were soon drowned by the howling cold wind.
Recently, there has been a wide range of cold waves, low temperatures, rain, snow and freezing weather in Hubei. In Gucheng County, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, which is located in the mountainous area of northwest Hubei Province, the territory is full of mountains and mountains, and most of the transmission lines are erected between the mountains and mountains. In order to ensure the safety of power supply in mountainous areas, Wu Liqun and his colleagues from the operation and maintenance team of the power transmission and operation inspection branch of State Grid Xiangyang Power Supply Company have been brave the wind and snow for several days, going back and forth for dozens of kilometers in the mountains every day, inspecting important transmission lines in the jurisdiction, checking the snow and ice cover of line equipment and the impact of snowfall on line channels.
Today's snow is heavier than yesterday's, Tower 94 is on the top of the mountain, the terrain is high, and the power lines and towers are particularly prone to ice, so we have to keep an eye on it! Early in the morning, Wu Liqun and his colleagues drove from Gucheng County to inspect the No. 93 and No. 94 towers and conductors of the 220 thousand volt Fenweng Line located on the local Lijia Mountain.
The altitude of the patrol line is about 1,500 meters, the mountain road is covered with snow and ice, and the car is hanging snow chains, and it is going up at a low speed. At about 10 o'clock in the morning, the car slowly pulled over to the side of the road and stopped. "The road ahead was too icy and it was not safe to drive, so we got out of the car and walked up the hill. In the greeting of Wu Liqun, several people got out of the car and walked to Tower 94 with tools.
The snow-covered forest trails are of unfathomable depth, and the occasional mud is exposed, making them particularly slippery. They lined up, one in front of them to explore the way, and the one behind followed the footprints of the first person, carefully every step. When encountering a steep slope, the four of them used their hands and feet together, moving up little by little.
Along the way, from time to time, some team members fell with tools and tools. After about 40 minutes of arduous walking, they finally arrived at the observation point, and their eyebrows were covered with a thin layer of frost.
On February 2, Wu Liqun (first from left) and his colleagues inspected the 220 kV Fenweng line. (Photo by Wang Hu) "Tower 94 can already be seen here, let's use a drone to fly it first. Wu Liqun took out the drone and found a relatively stable place to operate. "Judging from the picture, there is ice on the tower and on the wire, which is not serious at present. However, the temperature in the mountains is still very low, and observations will continue in the next few days. Wu Liqun said.
Tower 93 is on the back of the mountain, and you have to walk further. After inspecting Tower 94, several people prepared to move on to the next observation point.
Although there are drones patrolling, we still can't be careless. Walking through the forest, Wu Liqun said while walking, although the drone can get close to observe, but in the area where the trees grow more densely, we still need to walk along the mountain road to see, clearly grasp the environment of the line channel, and eliminate potential safety hazards in time.
On the top of the mountain, the cold wind was even more biting, and the ice and snow on the trees hit the heads of the patrol officers from time to time, and the ice ballast fell into the collar from time to time, and the team members couldn't help but shiver.
By the time the inspection of Tower 93 was completed, it was already past 1 p.m. Wu Liqun and his colleagues tore open the buckets of instant noodles they brought and nibbled on the dough cakes.
For everyone to have uninterrupted power, it's nothing to be tired and tired. Wu Liqun and his colleagues stepped on the ice and snow, and walked towards the next observation point with one foot deep and one foot shallow.
In the past few days, Wu Liqun and his colleagues have carried out special patrols on 16 ultra-high voltage lines, 55 220 kV lines, and 59 110 kV lines in Xiangyang. The red figures in the mountains have become a warm color in this ice and snow world. (Reporter Hou Wenkun).
