The 16th Korea Opera Awards Winners Meeting** is held once a year hosted by the Korea Opera Awards Organizing Committee, and it is a stage that attracts much attention in the Korean opera industry. This year, not only the winners of the Actor and Actress Awards and the Newcomer Award, but also the winners of the previous Newcomer Awards took the stage together.

Soprano Kim Do-yeon, who has won awards at the Aslico International Competition, a world-class competition in Italy, Chen Yu, a Chinese soprano singer who won the "Meritorious Award" in the Asia-Pacific region, and Feng Jiawei, a young tenor who won the first place in the first China-Korea International Vocal Music Exhibition in 2023, also appeared one by one. Chinese soprano Chen Yu sang "How Silent This Beautiful Night" was sung at the meeting, which was selected from the famous aria of Verdi's opera "The Troubadour"; Tenor Feng Jiawei presented "How Quiet the Past Nights", an excerpt from Verdi's opera "Louisa Miller", Chen Yu and Feng Jiawei represented the Asia-Pacific region with Korean singers.

The 16th "Korea Opera Awards Winners Meeting" ended with the "Drinking Song" of Chinese and Korean singers.

At the 16th Korea Opera Awards Ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Korean Opera Awards presented the highest work in the Korean opera industry in 2023, the opera "Don Giovanni" by the Seoul Opera Orchestra, and presented the "Special Merit Award" to the tenor Professor Park Se-won, who is the head of the Seoul Theofera Concert. Chinese soprano Chen Yu won the "Meritorious Award". The "Newcomer Award" was won by soprano Park Hye-sang and baritone Choi Byung-hyuk.

Chen Yu is a doctor of vocal music from Sangmyung University in South Korea, where he studied under tenor Dai Yuqiang and Korean soprano educator Professor Kim Ji-hyun. Chen Yu is one of the few double-star artists in China, and her vocal masterpiece "Moonlight Song", she has directed and rehearsed operas and important works including: "Aida", "Turandot", "The Masquerade", "Troubadour", "Bohemia", "Cinderella" and so on.
