Every year on May 12th, we celebrate a special holiday - the International Festival. This day is not only a tribute to the profession, but also a memory of the contribution of a great woman - Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
Florence Nightingale, affectionately known as the "Lady of the Lantern", was an English woman whose influence spanned centuries. During the Crimean War, she led 38 ** to the battlefield and devoted herself to the care of the wounded and sick on the front line. Not only did she establish a new order in hospital management, but she also dramatically improved the quality of care, resulting in a significant reduction in the mortality rate of soldiers.
The International Festival aims to preserve the spirit of Nightingale, whose bravery, dedication, care and sacrifice inspire caregivers around the world to this day. Since the 1920s, China has commemorated this day, both to commemorate Nightingale's great achievements and to pass on this noble humanitarian spirit from generation to generation through solemn graduation ceremonies and other events.
The International Festival is not only a festival for all of us, but also a day to pay tribute to all health care workers, who, like Nightingale, have always been at the forefront of protecting lives, no matter how the times change.
