Grandma's Vegetable Garden is a story written by Jordan Scott based on his childhood memories, writing about the warm intergenerational affection between him and his grandmother. The author accurately distilled the fragments of daily life in his memory, and told about the time and experience of spending time with his grandmother in his childhood. The work has both literary and aesthetic value: the text is restrained and powerful, showing the tenacious bond of kinship between the grandmother and the boy; The watercolor and gouache paintings are not figurative, but they are so real that you can feel the gentle touch of your grandmother. Painted by Sidney Smith with delicate and moist brushstrokes, he accurately captures images that appear in his childhood memories. It is a quiet, gentle, delicate and touching work that is evocative.
