Network plane type
The network deployment plan of Gbase 8A MPP Cluster can be divided into two physically isolated plane networks, namely the data plane network and the business plane network.
The data plane network is used for data computing and cluster management within the cluster, also known as the cluster internal network.
The service plane network is used for business system access, also known as the cluster external network.
Gbase 8A MPP Cluster is composed of Gcluster Cluster, GCware Cluster and Data Cluster, and when using two-plane network networking, the nodes in the Gcluster cluster are connected to the data plane and the service plane respectively, and the intranet IP and extranet IP can be configured for each node in the Gcluster cluster. Each data node in the data cluster only has access to the data plane, and only needs to configure the internal network IP.
Each node in the GCware Cluster only has access to the data plane, and only needs to configure the intranet IP.
It is recommended that the GCware node and the gcluster node be deployed on the same server, and the GCware node and the gcluster node should use the same intranet IP.
Generally, it is recommended to use the networking scheme of a two-plane network, as shown in the network topology diagram of the networking scheme. In the diagram, Rack 1 and Rack 6 are physical racks, the blue block diagram is the Coordinator Cluster node (a composite node where the gCluster node and GCware node are deployed together), and the orange block diagram is the Data Cluster node. Data interaction servers (FTP, HTTP, HDFS, etc.) are deployed on the data plane network. The internal network of the cluster adopts an Ethernet network or Infiniband network with a bandwidth of 10 GE or above, and the internal network convergence switch adopts a 40 GE bandwidth. The external network of the cluster needs to be set according to the requirements of business concurrency, data volume, etc., such as the big data platform that does not involve a large amount of data exchange, it is recommended to use a gigabit network of 1GE or more. The internal network and external network of the cluster are configured with high availability, that is, each IP address of each cluster node is bound to the master/standby of two network interfaces and connected to the two primary/standby switches of each other.
