The original Japanese home style often gives people a fresh, simple, casual and leisurely feeling. Today we are going to present you with a case study designed for a young man who lives alone.Based on his living needs, we gave a complete "facelift" to the old living space, giving the new home a new look that would be enough to impress.
Original structural design
Problems with the original house type:
1. The kitchen is L-shaped, with a small space and a lack of lighting.
2. To enter the living balcony, you need to cross the kitchen, and the movement line is inconvenient.
3. The bathroom is not separated, and the window is located in the kitchen, which lacks lighting.
4. The smallest room is small in size, with windows facing the patio balcony, facing north, and poor lighting.
5. The sliding door leading from the living room to the sun room is in the living room, which makes the living room appear narrower.
Floor plan after the revamp
Renovated house type:
1. Remove part of the walls and doors, and combine the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one LDK large space.
2. The room near the living room (quiet room) is equipped with internal windows to increase natural lighting for LDK.
3. Move the smallest room back and change it into a cloakroom in the master bedroom to make more space for the kitchen and bathroom.
4. The kitchen no longer adopts the inconvenient L-shaped design, and the bathroom realizes three separations.
5. Optimize the flow line, and the living balcony can directly put the clothes into the cloakroom after drying.
Entrance area. Step into this quiet Japanese style and open the door to feel the unique design concept. The consistent design of the wooden cabinet highlights the style of the entire home space.
The locker in the home is the designer's original creation, with a striking contrast of blue and teak, infusing a more youthful and vivid color with a classic Japanese base. There is an outlet under the cabinet to leave room for charging the robot vacuum.
Restaurant. The white space in front of the entryway cabinet has been turned into an indoor dining room, whether it is a single meal or a small gathering, it is not crowded.
The second-hand chairs from the early Nordic carpentry workshops are not fashionable, but they are exquisitely crafted and exude a lightweight and retro luxury atmosphere. Unique flying saucer lights add a touch of vibrancy to the dining room.
Living room. The sofa wall is wrapped in wood veneer, presenting an orderly and warm feeling, forming an enclosed and comfortable atmosphere. Klein blue elements decorate the picture, and dialogue with the overall "blue friends" level, adding a sense of tranquility.
In the communication with the male protagonist, he deeply understands his yearning for a quiet and beautiful life and a technological fantasy mind. The ingenious choice of sunset lamps becomes the embellishment of the space, integrating beautiful elements.
Due to the busy work of the factory, it is rare to see the most beautiful twilight time, so the design of sunset lights and window view gradient curtains is inspired by this, borrowing the color of sunset to bring a touch of warmth to the owners of the sunset.
Kitchen. Japanese log style permeates the entire room, as does the kitchen.
Originally, the thin wall between the kitchen and the bathroom could not accommodate the dishes, so part of the bathroom space was borrowed, and through the hollow design of the alcove, the bowls and plates that the male protagonist loved were cleverly displayed, which was unique and had the intimacy of a late-night canteen.
Toilet. Behind the mirror is the alcove in the kitchen, where a light strip is installed using the raised depth to meet the lighting needs of the sink while adding a sense of atmosphere. The bathroom is narrow, and the shower cubicle is partitioned with yellow glass.
Tranquility room. The tranquil indoor space can be used for meditation, yoga, tea or entertainment, or as a guest room. The spacious retreat room is designed to be raised as a whole, giving the space a sense of solemnity when you step in, giving the space a sense of tranquility.
The wood-grained whole-wall cabinet provides large-capacity storage, which is beautiful and practical. With the exception of two drawers, the floor space is abandoned.
Master bedroom. The simple log Japanese-style master bedroom creates a resting space for immersion in the soul, focusing on natural elements, emphasizing simplicity and comfort.
The neat cloakroom complements the style of the home, providing a quiet corner for work and life, and an undisturbed retreat.
Balcony. The living room and master bedroom open directly onto the conservatory on the balcony, which is the "back garden" of the entire room, and the extra-long table is ideal for gathering and entertaining.
The star fruit trees left by the previous owners are like invited guests, and the fruits that bear fruit three times a year become a good item on the table, adding a beautiful touch to life.
Listen to the birdsong in the morning and embrace the bright moon in the night. Behind living alone is a life-centered state of life, not confined to home style, the pursuit of self-satisfaction is the best life.
