Across the vast grasslands, I came to a small county town in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In this seemingly ordinary small county, there is a solemn lama temple hidden, which is said to have been built by the Kangxi Emperor 320 years ago. Curious and eager to explore, I decided to step into this temple and explore its grandeur.
When I walked into the gate of the lama temple, I was blown away by the scene in front of me. This lama temple is magnificent and magnificent, as if witnessing the changes of history. The temple enshrines majestic Buddha statues, shining with golden light, sacred and solemn. I immersed myself in this solemn atmosphere, and felt an invisible force surging in the bottom of my heart.
Suddenly, a burst of aroma came to my nose and caught my attention. I followed the scent and went to the kitchen in the temple. The kitchen is already in full swing, and the chefs are busy preparing various vegetarian offerings. They are skillful, smoke-filled, and dance the knives in their hands in the firelight, as if they were dancing a lively dance. I was fascinated by the lively scene and volunteered to join them.
In the kitchen, I not only learned a lot about vegetarian cooking skills, but also learned about the importance and love of vegetarian food among local believers. We use a variety of high-quality vegetables with rich seasonings to create dishes that are full of flavor and taste. Using fresh greens, crispy cucumbers and refreshing tomatoes, we create a cool salad; Fresh tofu is cut into cubes and served with shiitake mushrooms, carrots and other ingredients to create a fragrant vegetarian hot pot. These dishes are not only delicious but also nutritious and are loved by devotees.
In my interactions with other chefs, I learned that this lama temple hosts a grand temple fair every year. At the temple fair, countless believers and tourists poured into this small county town to participate in the activities of the temple fair. And at this temple fair, the most popular is the vegetarian stall. At this fair, I decided to take this opportunity to show off my cooking skills.
The arrival of the temple fair filled the entire small county town with a festive atmosphere. People dressed in festive costumes fill the streets and are bustling with activity. I and the other chefs were busy in front of the vegetarian stall, preparing a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes. We bring the freshest and most delicious ingredients to the stalls, ready to delight the devotees with a feast for their taste buds.
The temple fair began, and my cooking skills were well received by the believers. They were amazed as they tasted my carefully prepared vegetarian food. Someone tasted the fragrant vegetarian hot pot and exclaimed, "This taste is amazing, it's just a heavenly delicacy!" There are also people who taste the refreshing cold salad and give a thumbs up, "It's so refreshing, it's a pleasure to eat this in summer!" "Listening to their praise of me, my heart was filled with pride and joy.
With the end of the temple fair, I had to say goodbye to this small county town and continue my journey. However, this experience will remain in my memory forever. In the kitchen of this lama temple, I not only learned a lot about vegetarian cooking, but also experienced first-hand the devotion and enthusiasm of the devotees. This experience made me love my profession as a chef even more, and it also gave me a deeper understanding and perception of vegetarian food.
Looking back on this journey, I am filled with emotion. The Lama Temple in the small county town of Inner Mongolia is not only a solemn and sacred religious place, but also a place full of stories and legends. As a chef, it is a blessing and an honor to be able to leave your mark here. This trip taught me that cooking is not just about filling your stomach, it's about being an art and a heritage. I believe that in the future journey, I will encounter more interesting stories and experience more scenery of life. Every demonstration of cooking skills is a reward for one's unremitting efforts, as well as a deep love and persistence for gourmet cooking. Whether it's in the kitchen of a temple or in a bustling city, I'm passionate about cooking with my heart and delivering the joy and warmth of food. Because for me, cooking is not only a profession, but also a continuation of tradition and culture, a way to bring people close.
