In the year, the seven generalissimos gathered at the radio station, ** want to be stopped, what's the matter?
The Ten Marshals are legendary figures in the history of Chinese affairs, and since the founding of New China, they have rarely been together for anything. But there is such an incident that once brought together seven of the ten national meritorious persons, and even the ** of the other three wanted to participate together but was stopped.
So, what is it about the major national events that can make the eight marshals pay so much attention?
In the summer of 1962, the mainland launched a battle of attack on the Huli Mountains. The People's Liberation Army has deployed heavy troops here, and there is a soldier every ten paces, armed with **, and heavily guarded.
Pi Dingjun, deputy commander-in-chief of the Fuzhou Military Region, looked nervous, and although there was no fighting at this time, the situation in front of him was even more tense than the real battle. The sudden change left all the staff at Huli Hill puzzled, and they speculated that there might be a big man coming.
Dai Hongyan is a staff member of the Hulishan radio station, and he, like other colleagues, thinks that the biggest names may come. When he saw the serious expression of Deputy Commander-in-Chief Pi Dingjun, and even ordered all the sentry posts to be removed and replaced with the soldiers he brought to guard them, and all the tables, chairs, and tea sets connected to the waiting room were replaced, he was even more sure that the one who came was at least a big man at the level of marshal.
Dai Hongyan guessed half right, he only guessed one marshal, but in fact, seven founding marshals visited Hulishan together. On that day, Dai Hongyan met seven marshals in one day, which surprised and excited him at the same time.
Originally, there were not only these seven marshals who planned to go to Hulishan, ** The marshal was in Xiamen at the time, and he was supposed to come together, but the staff around him stopped him.
Due to the importance of the eight marshals, if seven of them appeared in Hulishan at the same time, it would be very risky, let alone eight? Therefore, the staff resolutely prevented the ** marshal, and although he was somewhat reluctant, he accepted it.
So, what is so special about the Hulishan radio station that allows so many marshals to appear at the same time? And what is the purpose of the marshals here? All this has to start with Chiang Kai-shek's defeat in Taiwan.
In 1949, when the Liberation War was nearing its end, Chiang Kai-shek, seeing that defeat was assured, ordered the transfer of property and materials, fled to Taiwan with the remnants, and used Taiwan as a base to stubbornly resist the mainland.
In order to facilitate cross-strait reunification in the future, our party has launched a psychological war against the reactionary forces in Taiwan.
On March 5, 1953, the Xiamen Front Garrison set up a radio station on Jiaoyu Island, called the "Broadcasting Group to Kinmen", which aimed to convey information to the Kuomintang troops in Kinmen through radio.
In order to better convey the message, announcer Wu Shize was selected to be in charge of this work. At that time, the two sides of the strait were facing each other and the situation was tense, and Wu Shize conveyed to the other side the construction achievements of New China and our party's policy toward Kuomintang personnel in fluent southern Fujian dialect during artillery fire.
This war against Taiwan has lasted for decades.
Wu Shize recalled the first broadcast of the radio script, which was the "six guarantees" made by our party to the military and political personnel on the other side of the strait: 1. Ensure the safety and dignity of those who defect to the mainland; 2. Ensure life safety; 3. Respect the property and personal freedom of the defector; 4. Provide for the injured and sick**; 5. Give commendations and rewards to those who have taken the lead in the uprising.
As long as people on the other side of the strait come to surrender, they will be able to get the protection of our party's interests. Since then, Wu Shize has been sending broadcasts to the other side of Kinmen every day. Seeing this, the Kuomintang defenders soon set up a radio station in Mashan, the closest to the mainland, and began their own "** heart war".
At the beginning, the equipment used by our army to shout was a communication tool between US ** boats, which was transported by our army from the Korean battlefield. The power of a megaphone is 250 watts, and Wu Shize and other announcers combined nine megaphones into a big speaker, which everyone laughed at and called the so-called "nine-headed bird".
However, the power of the "nine-headed bird" is indeed extraordinary, and with the combined action of nine megaphones, the sound can be transmitted to the Kuomintang defenders 10 kilometers away.
The horn of Jiaoyu Island sounded on time at night, becoming the "second front" between Xiamen and Kinmen. The broadcast was best transmitted at this time, and it also made the high-level officials on both sides of the strait attach great importance to it.
The "political artillery" strategy at the front kept appearing, and Dai Hongyan in the rear also played an important role in the broadcast team. A native of Xiamen, he has been broadcasting to Taiwan since 1961.
In the battle against Taiwan, the members of the broadcasting team are not limited to mechanically repeating the daily shouting work. They used tactics and "actual combat" experience, and Wu Shize, as a cultural instructor of the army, considered that most of his broadcasting colleagues could not speak Hokkien, so he specially collected and sorted out the words in various ways and carefully compiled a vocabulary manual of nearly 1,000 words for his colleagues to use.
This handbook was collected by the General Political Liaison Department and became an important tool for the defenders of Kinmen. The promise of the "six guarantees" made by our party will be broadcast 300 days a year, more than ten times a day, so that many **soldiers who secretly came to surrender to Cheng said: "I know the policy very well. ”
This war without gunpowder, through the efforts of the broadcasting team, finally achieved the effect of attacking the heart.
Family affection is an important means for the broadcasting team to break through Kinmen. Many of the defenders of Kinmen were strong men who had been forcibly confiscated when the Kuomintang was defeated in Taiwan, and some of them had homes just a few kilometers away from Kinmen.
These people, who originally lived with their families, were dragged to Kinmen, and instantly became the "enemies" of relatives and friends on the other side, and naturally missed their hometown very much. Every festive season, the broadcasting team will make some targeted broadcasts, such as: "Are you homesick?
Your family is eating rice cakes, but you are the only ones who lack you. Even decades later, the elderly Wu Shize still remembers such a story. On the eve of the Spring Festival in 1955, the broadcast team learned that there was a woman Zhang Aqi on Xiaodeng Island, and her husband was unfortunately arrested to serve as a soldier on Kinmen Island.
The broadcast team quickly contacted Zhang Aqi, and after their ideological work, Zhang Aqi mustered up the courage to come to the broadcasting fort to express his family's thoughts to her husband on the other side, and looked forward to his early return.
Zhang's cry crossed the vast ocean and reached Kinmen, where it caught her husband's attention. Soon after, her husband, who learned of the incident, fled Kinmen in disguise and returned home to reunite with his family, regardless of the danger to his life.
In order to maximize the role of shouting, the broadcast team can be said to have good intentions and constantly come up with new strategies. Among them, the most talked about is that there is a female announcer named Chen Feifei in the broadcast team.
Although many ** soldiers stationed in Kinmen only heard her voice but did not see her, they regarded her as a "dream lover".
With her sweet and moving voice, Chen Feifei brought warmth and comfort to the ** soldiers in the hard years, and comforted many soldiers in their hearts. Although not all the soldiers chose to surrender, their hearts were touched by Chen Feifei's voice.
After 32 years of working in the broadcasting team, Chen Feifei recalled this past incident and said: "I may have talked more to my brothers in the Kuomintang army in Kinmen than I have to talk to my husband and children. ”
Although the broadcasting group did not take a direct part in the battle, it played a tremendous role in the political propaganda against Taiwan and had a far-reaching impact on both the enemy and us. In those days, the artillerymen had great respect for the personnel of the broadcast group, even calling them "political artillerymen".
In the face of our fierce psychological warfare, the Kuomintang reactionaries also carried out **. They use Golden Gate Radio to make promises of various interests to our personnel. Not only did they attack each other through radio broadcasts on the Xiamen-Jin front, but they also used wireless short-wave countermeasures in the rear.
The Kuomintang even set up a special mainland broadcasting department, which has a powerful transmission power and can cover the entire continent with radio waves. One of them was a theatrical show, and on the surface it looked like just a few people getting together to chat, one of them complaining about his low pay and tired work.
Another gave advice on how to raise your income. If you look closely, you can see that this seemingly nonsensical topic actually implies the enemy's strategy of attacking the heart.
In August 1954, the mainland rear government launched an offensive in the rear of Taiwan and began broadcasting to Taiwan. Although Chiang Kai-shek was afraid of the spread of our party's ideology in the Taiwan Strait, the content of the program in the early days was mostly political propaganda, which seemed a bit blunt.
However, after ***'s instructions, the broadcast team made two improvements in 1972: adding weather forecasts and saying "Good night to your compatriots in Taiwan" at the end of the program.
The efforts of these "political artillerymen" have achieved remarkable results in the psychological offensive against Taiwan. Since coming to Jiaoyu Island in 1953, in the past 11 years, Wu Shize has witnessed many Kuomintang officers and soldiers risking their lives to cross the sea with floating objects such as kettles and pot lids.
Although this psychological war is not a real war, its effect is even more than the real decisive battle between the two sides. This psychological war not only propagated our party's political ideas to the other side, but also helped future reunification.
The marshals attached great importance to this psychological war, so in the summer of 1962, the seven of them came to the Hulishan radio station together. These marshals have made great achievements for the country, and now the situation on the mainland has stabilized, but Taiwan has not yet returned.
The seven marshals felt that they might not be able to see the reunification of the Motherland in their lifetimes, but at least they wanted to see for themselves at the radio stations at the forefront. They expressed their condolences to the staff of the broadcasting team and said that they wanted to see the announcer's live broadcast.
Dai Hongyan was very excited about this, he did not expect that such an unknown announcer would have the opportunity to show his broadcasting work to the seven founding marshals, which was a great honor for him, and it also made him feel very nervous.
When the marshals walked into the radio room to listen to the broadcast of the members of the broadcast team, the young Dai Hongyan was a little flustered, and even his palms were nervous and sweaty. However, the seven marshals appeared very approachable, and they calmed Dai Hongyan's emotions and told him not to be nervous.
Under the watchful eyes of the seven marshals, Dai Hongyan began the broadcast to the station that day. Although his broadcast time was less than three minutes, it was the most memorable broadcasting experience of his life.
During the broadcast, Dai Hongyan's mood gradually calmed down, and the seven marshals also listened attentively. From the eyes of the marshal yuan, Dai Hongyan could feel their interest in broadcasting work.
After the broadcast, the seven marshals spoke highly of the work of the broadcasting team. The visit of the seven marshals was not a simple inspection. If they do not attach so much importance to the cross-strait situation, they will not take precious time out of their work to inspect the broadcasting station.
This inspection shows that the party and the state attach importance to the issue of Taiwan's return, and also increases the credibility and authority of our party's "six guarantees," and allows the soldiers of Chiang Jun on the other side of the strait to see our party's sincerity to those who defect to the party.
This has played a positive role in promoting the psychological warfare work of the broadcasting team.
As the situation changed, the smell of gunpowder in the broadcasts in Xiamen and Kinmen gradually dissipated. During the New Year of 1979, the military and civilians in Kinmen found that the content of the radio was completely different from what it used to be, and it was no longer the usual loud accusations, but instead a deep call for family affection and compatriots.
In the same year, the mainland stopped shelling Kinmen and put forward the proposition of "taking into account the actual situation and accomplishing the great cause of the reunification of the motherland." In 1982, broadcasting on Jiaoyu Island was officially discontinued.
Later, in 1992, Kinmen was relieved of the "war administration", returned to local self-government, and began to open up for tourism. Generally speaking, the tense relations between the two sides of the strait are gradually easing, and they are advancing toward the goal of peaceful reunification.
As the descendants of Yan and Huang, we are originally from the same root and blood. Taiwan has been an inseparable part of China since ancient times, and its return to China is a historical inevitability. We firmly believe that the reunification of the motherland is an inevitable trend, and that day will eventually come!
