NHS-PEG-ALKYNE is a chemical reagent commonly used in the biomedical field, mainly used to bind biomolecules to polyethylene glycol (PEG) to improve their stability and extend their half-life in vivo. The NHS (N-hydroxysuccinimide) group in NHS-PEG-ALKYNE reacts with the amino groups in the biomolecule to form a stable amide bond, thus linking the biomolecule to the PEG. This ligation method can protect biomolecules from degradation by enzymes, prolong their cycle time in the body, and at the same time reduce immunogenicity and improve the best effect.
NHS-PEG-ALKYNE can also be used to prepare nanopharmaceutical carriers and biological probes. By linking drug molecules or fluorescent dyes together with NHS-PEG-ALKYNE, nanodrug carriers or biological probes with specific functions can be prepared. These vectors and probes can be used to deliver drugs or detect biomolecules in vivo, improving efficacy or research efficiency.
