Located in the north of the North China Plain, the Haihe River is thousands of kilometers long, formed by the confluence of five major tributaries, flowing from northwest to southeast through the Sancha estuary, through the urban area of Tianjin to the mouth of Dagu and flowing into the Bohai Sea. The basin covers an area of more than 300,000 square kilometers.
