Wang Tong, a Chinese Swedish, will hold an exhibition on February 29, 2024 at the BTU Gallery, School of Fine and Applied Arts, Thonburi University, Bangkok. During the exhibition, professional lectures and networking activities will be held.

According to reports, Wang Tong was born in Dalian, Liaoning Province, studied in the Chinese Painting Department of Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, and taught in the Oil Painting Department of Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts after graduation. Later, after moving to Sweden, he devoted himself to cultural exchanges between China and Sweden. Wang Tong has successively served as the chairman of the China-Sweden Cultural Friendship Association in Helsingborg, Sweden, and the chairman of the Swedish International Artists Association (IKIS). Later, he was hired as the director of the European Art Center of the School of Arts of Xiamen University, a distinguished professor of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Arts, and a doctoral supervisor of Thonburi University in Bangkok, Thailand.

Wang Tong exhibited a total of 26 works, 25 of which are oil paintings, including: misplaced memories, shooting stars, gazing in the wind, love and longing, irregular games, lonely beaches, red walls, dragon city stories, etc., and one Chinese ink painting more than 8 meters long, which is based on the concept of the artist's first valuable experience.

Bangkok Thonburi University is a private university approved by the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and a Thai university certified by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China by the Education Foreign-related Regulatory Information Network, ranking No. 87. The university is located in the Tayyiwathana district of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and is a comprehensive university with a history of more than 30 years. The city of Bangkok, where the university is located, is the political, economic and cultural center of Thailand.
