In the winter of 1961, Ma Yinchu, the president of Peking University, received a letter that shocked him. The 10,000-word letter elaborates on the need for "guaranteed delivery to households" and its benefits.
At the end of the letter, the author expressed his willingness to continue the struggle for the good of the party and the country, although there were fears that this could lead to his defeat. Ma Yinchu thought that this letter was simply a declaration of "package production to households", but he had never heard of the author's name.
He found out that the letter writer was his fellow countryman named Yang Mushui, a young sericulture technician, and he sent his "manifesto" to Ma Yinchu because he thought that Mr. Ma had the enthusiasm and prestige to convey the voice of the people.
However, Mr. Ma's prestige is nearing its end.
Ma Yinchu's expectations for Yang Mushui exceeded his expectations, and he made a special trip back to his hometown to meet with Yang Mushui. The county leaders were worried about their "secret talks" and kept sending people to try to interrupt them, but Ma Yinchu resolutely refused.
He helped Yang Mushui revise the "declaration" of "guaranteed production to households" before it came out. When they parted, their eyes were filled with uncertainty about the future. Ma Yinchu told Yang Mushui: "Don't give up the correct opinion easily, the truth is invincible." ”
Yang Mushui was silent for a while, and finally he told his girlfriend: "I may be arrested, sentenced, imprisoned, exiled, and we may have to separate." Their prophecy was later proved correct.
In the cold winter of China, two unknown rural people are concentrating on their creations at home. Feng Zhilai wrote his article "On Semi-Socialism" on April 21, 1962, and asked the question at the beginning: "The way out is **?
Package delivery to the door! He bluntly admits that "it is going it alone" and ridicules those who equate "going it alone with feudalism and capitalist petty production." He asked, "When you see your father with a nose, do you think that everyone who has a nose is your father?" ”
In order to promote his views, Feng Zhilai decided to go to Beijing to submit his article. On the basis of "On Semi-Socialism", he wrote another article "What to Do? 》。
He knew that his influence was limited, so when he submitted the article, he claimed to be Feng Xuefeng's nephew. However, the newspaper did not immediately respond to him, instead demanding that the author's "backstage" be traced.
At this time, another person named Chen Xinyu also began to write letters to "People**", strongly advocating that the production be delivered to the household. He used to be a merchant, but later joined the ranks of the commune.
He was deeply moved by the enthusiasm of the peasants in the countryside for the delivery of the crops to the households. His letter was eventually published in Letters from Readers under the headline "Revisiting the Delivery of Goods."
Chen Xinyu (born in March 1980) firmly believes that the delivery of goods to households will become an inevitable trend of history, is full of confidence in victory, and never gives up his own ideas. Like Feng Zhilai, he is resolutely celibate and determined to bear all the consequences alone.
Although many people in the countryside think that it is a good idea to have a home, only these three can articulate the concept clearly and make it public. Decades later, people finally realized that the insight of these little people was extraordinary.
All three of them are from Zhejiang, and they all take the "direct advice" approach. In mid-July, Chen Xinyu received a manuscript fee from the newspaper, totaling 25 yuan and 5 jiao.
He used his manuscript money to buy a large pile of peaches to distribute to his colleagues, and the people around him were immediately touched by his generosity. However, at this moment, the situation changed abruptly.
Feng Zhilai was forced to return to his hometown to undergo labor reform, and although he did not say a word, he had a hundred sleeping pills in his heart, and he was always ready to end himself. However, eighteen years later, in 1979, after he watched the drama "In the Silent Place", he was overwhelmed with grief and tears poured out.
Yang Mushui was sentenced to eight years in prison the following year**. Chen Xinyu's situation is even more miserable, he has been "raided" seven times and "criticized" more than 100 times.
He persistently wrote more than 200 letters for 20 years. However, by the time the "fog was cleared" and "the spring sun" really came, he was already a wrinkled, little old man like dried ginger, lonely and deprived, leaving only a wrinkled face, as if carved out by an axe and a knife.
Feng Zhilai has no doubt that the deep imprint on the faces of these "practical theorists" will also leave a deep imprint on the history of our country, which is worthy of our posterity's warning.
Salute to these "pioneers" of reform who dared to be the first!
