In the summer of 1994, the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress received an "invitation letter" from the North Korean embassy. The letter, written in Chinese and Korean, invited two comrades, Hu Zhenyi and Wang Liaoning, to visit the DPRK.
The ordinary status of the mother and son, why was they solemnly invited by North Korea? On the evening of May 6, 1994, the relevant personnel of the DPRK Party History Research Institute arrived at the Pyongyang railway station ahead of schedule and waited for the arrival of Hu Zhen and Wang Liaoning.
After Hu Zhenyi and Wang Liaoning got off the bus, they were warmly welcomed. They took the highest-standard state guest Mercedes-Benz car in North Korea, which shows that the North Korean side attaches great importance to Hu Zhenyi's mother and son.
The mother and son were taken to the Korean People's Army guest house, and after a short rest, the ** bell rang.
Kim Il Sung and Hu Jin-il are closely linked across a long period of time spanning 50 years. He excitedly called out to his old comrades-in-arms in **, and reiterated his deep thoughts about Hu Zhenyi's mother and son.
Accompanied by Deputy Director Jin, Hu Zhenyi's mother and son came to the Miaoxiangshan Presidential Mansion on May 7, and this scene was like a repetition of the scene 50 years ago, which brought Hu Zhenyi's mother and son to tears, and also touched all the people present.
Kim Il Sung warmly greeted Hu Jin-il in the meeting room, the two shook hands tightly, and Kim Il Sung said excitedly: "Old comrade-in-arms, I have been looking for you for 50 years, and I have always missed you!" The two sides exchanged pleasantries for a long time and the atmosphere was warm.
Hu Zhenyi brought some small gifts this time, including a set of cloisonné tea sets, a bamboo curtain painting, a copper imitation Qin copper chariot and horse, and two bottles of Wuliangye as a greeting to an old friend.
At the presidential palace, Kim Il Sung entertained Hu Jinil's mother and son, and also expressed warm respect to Hu Jinil. This shows that the affection between Kim Il Sung and Hu Jin-il is very deep.
So, what is their story? This has to start with Hu Zhenyi's husband Chai Shirong.
Chai Shirong, born in Jiaoxian County, Shandong Province in 1894, moved with his parents to Liudaogou in Helong County, Jilin Province when he was five years old. Forced by life, he dropped out of school in 1912 and went to North Korea to work, an experience that honed his fluency in Korean.
In 1928, he returned to his homeland and entered the Helong County Police Department, where he was gradually promoted to deputy director.
Jilin Province was once home to many ethnic Korean residents, and Chai Shirong was an upright man who made many Korean friends, including the later North Korean leader Kim Il Sung. Although Chai Se Young was 18 years older than Kim Il Sung, this did not affect the deep brotherhood between them.
Later, Kim Il Sung became a revolutionary in North Korea, and seven of his comrades-in-arms were unfortunately imprisoned, so he thought of asking the deputy chief of the police department, Chai Se-young, for help.
Chai Shirong successfully rescued seven imprisoned Communist Party members at the cost of his life, but this action forced him to leave his homeland and drift to Japan. During this period, he witnessed the outbreak of the Eastern Theater of World War II with his neighbors and friends, and experienced the grandeur of that period of history.
Although he is in Japan, he always cares about the motherland in his heart and is the pride of the Chinese people.
After Chai Shirong went into exile in Japan, he sneaked back to Jilin and joined hands with Kim Il Sung and others to form an anti-Japanese team. Since then, they have jointly devoted themselves to the anti-Japanese cause of the two peoples. In February 1936, Chai Shirong, as the commander of the Fifth Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, led more than 300 soldiers to ambush the enemy's grain transportation team and successfully captured a large number of horses and grain.
In February 1937, Chai Shirong once again used this tactic and successfully commanded the troops to destroy three Japanese puppet army strongholds.
Chai Shirong's leading position in the Fifth Army is self-evident, and his guerrilla warfare ability was highly praised by Commander-in-Chief Zhou Baozhong as "on fighting guerrilla warfare, count Chai Shirong." His military talent was also widely recognized by the soldiers, and everyone said: "You will not suffer a loss in fighting with Chai Shirong." ”
And the beautiful love story of Chai Shirong and Hu Zhenyi was also personally brokered by Commander-in-Chief Zhou Baozhong.
Hu Zhenyi, born in 1920 in Phoenix, Dandong, Liaoning Province, when the Anti-Japanese War broke out, she devoted herself to the battle of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, actively participated in the organization of the teaching group and the women's group, and married Chai Shirong in the war.
In 1937, Hu Jin-il met Kim Il-sung, who had become the head of the North Korean side, and the two had heard of it, and after this meeting, they established a deep friendship that lasted for eight years.
In 1939, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army fell into an existential dilemma, and due to the "crusade" of the Japanese army, their living environment became extremely difficult. At this critical moment, two voices emerged within the Anti-Japanese Federation, one was to resolutely resist Japan, and the other was to propose the withdrawal of the Anti-Japanese Federation.
However, Chai Shirong firmly stood on the latter's side. Thanks to his unremitting efforts, the Anti-Japanese Federation was finally able to survive and continue to fight for the cause of national and national liberation.
Chai Shirong, a nearly fifty-year-old military commander, still showed his demeanor on the battlefield, personally leading the team to fight against the Japanese army. Later, according to the situation, the party organization decided to transfer the main forces of the Anti-Japanese Union to the territory of the USSR and integrate them into the 88 Special Brigade of the Soviet Red Army.
Chai Se-young and Kim Il Sung became neighbors, and in the military camp in Khabarovsk, the two families were separated by a wall.
Hu Zhenyi, a female soldier in the 7th Company of the 4th Infantry Battalion, receives high-intensity combat training on weekdays, including swimming, skiing, and parachuting. Whenever the plane flew to an altitude of 800 meters during parachute training, Hu Zhen jumped off without hesitation whenever the instructor gave an order.
The woman's bravery and fearlessness were admirable, and many male soldiers expressed their sincere admiration for her.
In the barracks, in addition to intense training, Kim Il Sung did not forget to entertain himself. His optimism, humor, singing and dancing filled the troop performance with laughter every Saturday.
What's even more interesting is that Kim Il Sung had a handsome appearance as a young man and was hailed by many in the barracks as the "beautiful man of the world". Coincidentally, in 1941, Kim Il Sung's family also ushered in a new life, which, like the child born to Hu Jin-il, made this special year even more memorable.
Kim Il Sung was a natural "child fan", and his skills in coaxing babies were unmatched. In his spare time, he would always spend time with the children and bring them the melodies of North Korea with his singing.
Just when everyone thought that Kim Il Sung's life would get better and better, an accident happened ......Chai Shirong is a person with a distinct personality, he dares to challenge and express himself, but in a decision-making dispute with a leader of the Anti-Japanese Federation, the relationship between the two sides gradually became strained.
Another thing happened that led to the deterioration of relations between the two parties. The wife of the division commander Guan Shufan was arrested by the Japanese puppet army while working in the fields, and the puppet army tried to lure Guan Shufan to surrender.
In order to rescue his wife, Guan Shufan went to negotiate with the Japanese puppet army. However, after he returned, the leaders who had conflicts with Chai Shirong directly arrested him.
Guan Shufan was accused of "wavering and defecting to the enemy" and even faced the threat of being shot. However, he claimed that he was not a mutiny, but only a false surrender to save his wife.
Chai Shirong supported his statement, because if he really rebelled, there would be no need to return to the barracks.
Guan Shufan disagreed with the leader, and the two sides quarreled fiercely and drew their guns. In the end, Guan Shufan was shot dead, and the relationship between the two broke down completely. Two years later, Hu Zhenyi gave birth to a son named Wang Liaoning.
Chai Shirong's sudden disappearance while on a mission is very strange. Just a week after he received the assignment and left home, Wang Liaoning was born. In the past, he had always completed tasks quickly, but this time it was as if he had evaporated from the world, and he didn't even send a letter back.
While waiting for her husband to return, Hu Zhenyi not only took on the responsibility of raising the children, but also sent the young Wang Liaoning to the brigade nursery school, where he could only be reunited with his mother at night.
During this period, Kim Il Sung's family gave Hu Jin-il selfless care, and Hu Jin-il was deeply grateful, and until her later years she still remembered the Korean songs that Kim Il Sung taught her to sing. It wasn't until 1944 that Hu Zhenyi learned of her husband's whereabouts, when an ethnic Korean cook told her that Chai Shirong had actually been sent to a collective farm in the Soviet Union, and had not returned to China or carried out a mission.
Hu Zhenyi's heart is full of contradictions, she can't easily show her emotions, otherwise she will be considered to have "bought" the cooking soldiers. In desperation, she could only go to the leader and ask when her husband would return.
The leader's answer was consistent, telling her perfunctorily that her husband was coming back soon. Hu Zhenyi inquired about her husband's whereabouts privately, and the results confirmed what the cook said. Soon after, Chai Shirong died of illness, and the couple finally failed to see each other for the last time.
Before the Soviet army intervened in China to regain lost territory, Hu Jin-il said goodbye to Kim Il Sung's family. On the occasion of parting, Kim Il Sung expressed his nostalgia for her and presented her with several gold jewelry.
After that, Hu Zhenyi made notable achievements in her career, serving as deputy head of Yuzhong District in Chongqing, Sichuan Province in 1952, and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress in 1980, three years later.
In 1994, the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress received an invitation letter from North Korea without the name of Kim Il Sung. However, Hu Jin-il knew that it must be President Kim Il Sung who had found their whereabouts.
