The dragon dance is up, and the atmosphere is there. From the first day to the fifth day of the Spring Festival in the Year of the Dragon, the dragon and lion dance activities of "Dragon Teng Shengshi Central Axis Nafu" hosted by the Dongcheng District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the people of Dongcheng District, and undertaken by the Dongcheng District Culture and Tourism Bureau, were unveiled in the central axis. Dongcheng District connects the central axis points, and staged lion and dragon dance performances in Yongdingmen Square, Bell and Drum Tower Cultural Square, Longfusi Square and Qianmen Street, using traditional dragon and lion dance folk performances that symbolize auspiciousness, prosperity and good luck to ignite the festive and peaceful atmosphere of the New Year and express everyone's blessings and expectations for the Year of the Dragon. During the event, more than 20,000 people performed dragon and lion dances.
Point 1: Yongding Gate.
In front of Yongdingmen Square at the southern end of the central axis, the golden dragon leaps and the lion dances, the gongs and drums are noisy to welcome the New Year, the lion and the dragon sometimes gallop, sometimes shuttle, mighty and funny, vivid and lively, the footsteps are the blessings and expectations of the New Year, and the atmosphere of the Year of the Dragon is directly full. There are more than 10 children from Yongtieyuan Community, Yongwai Street, in front of the square to send blessings to everyone in front of the square to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon.
Point 2: Bell and Drum Tower.
The Beijing Bell and Drum Tower is the northern end of the central axis and an important point for condensing China's strong time culture. At the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, the dragon and lion dances are performed to pray for a safe and smooth new year, creating a characteristic festival atmosphere where the Spring Festival culture and the central axis culture are blended. In recent years, the bell and drum tower has become the choice of more and more tourists, in front of the bell and drum tower building with rich historical and cultural connotations, the dragon and lion dance, there is a lot of fun, and the majority of tourists can unlock the "Spring Festival limited" Beijing bell and drum tower.
Point 3: Longfu Plaza.
Recently, the characteristic consumer block Longfusi Cultural and Leisure Street has a strong New Year's flavor, and the new Internet celebrity check-in place "East of the Forbidden City, Good Luck Welfare Office" is full of network sense, attracting many consumers to take photos and check in. At the "Longfuji Joy Dragon Dragon New Year Market", a lot of New Year's food, good things and traditional time-honored products are displayed and sold. The traditional lion dance performance shuttles through the neighborhood, rejuvenating the traditional folk customs, not only retaining the nostalgia and memory of "old Beijing", but also bringing a new experience of leisure in the New Year to the general public.
Point 4: Qianmen Street.
The noisy and lively gongs and drums sounded, the dexterous dragons and lions swam on Qianmen Street, and tourists stopped to perform. Qianmen Street combines the release of the "Qianmen 48 Hours (Year of the Dragon New Year Edition)" micro-vacation guide, the "Spring Festival Gala Dragon Travel Beijing" series of activities, the "Tesco Metaverse" red envelope rain, and the other four sections of "Lucky Customers, Surprise Full Discount" to create a new experience of "culture +" and "technology +" for the general public and consumers, and become a good place to shop, eat and shop with multiple consumption scenarios such as Chinese tide, fireworks, and cultural flavor.
