Toys are items that are specifically used for play and can also be used to play games, such as children's toys, electric toys, educational toys, etc.

Toy Safety Directive: European toy safety standard

All toys sold in the EU must bear the CE mark, indicating that they comply with the EU's harmonized standards for health and safety. The EU Toy Safety Directive 2009 48 EC outlines the physical, mechanical, chemical and electrical requirements that must be met for the sale of toys in the EU. A wide variety of products are considered toys and must therefore comply with the Toy Safety Directive in the European Union**.

The CE marking procedure for toys includes defining the intended use, carrying out conformity assessments, safety testing, writing technical documentation, drafting a declaration of conformity and applying the CE marking.

When CE marking toys, there are three important tests:

Define mechanical and physical properties EN 71-1

Flammability test EN 71-2

Chemical Test EN 71-3

Toy CE certification process:

1. Project application - submit the testing application to the testing institution.

2. Data preparation - according to the testing requirements, the enterprise prepares relevant documents.

3. Product testing - the company will send the samples to be tested to the laboratory for testing.

4. Preparation of reports - certification engineers prepare reports according to qualified test data.

5. Submit for review - the engineer will review the complete report.

6. Issue a certificate - after the audit is correct, the certificate will be issued.
