Will a cybersecurity engineer be made redundant at the age of thirty!

In the nineties of the twentieth century, there are also a group of people who feel that they will work steadily for a lifetime until retirement, until the tide of layoffs of state-owned enterprises comes, these people find that the original state-owned enterprises will also be unemployed, and at the same time, the recent probationary period of a civil servant in Shenzhen has not expired, It seems that the iron rice bowl has begun to be no longer iron, because after entering the market economy, all the jobs are changing around the supply and demand of the market, and the network security industry is very idealistic for ordinary people to make money in IT posts. If it's really a job with more money and less work close to home and relatively free, then there doesn't seem to be a corresponding position

The age crisis exists in all walks of life, and for cybersecurity, the position of network engineer has its own technical development path in companies that are in demand. Imagine if you're new to the field, your day-to-day routine might be focused on tweaking and maintaining equipment, as well as dealing with some basic equipment issues. At this stage, you have a lot of opportunities to deal with machines and computers, but again, you also need to spend about half of your time communicating with customers to understand their needs.

But if you've been in the industry for a while, have accumulated a lot of experience, and are good at dealing with customers, then congratulations, you're probably already in the company's hands and ready to put you in a more senior position. At this point, you might become a project manager, or lead a small team. Of course, that doesn't mean you can relax and study. Conversely, as you get older and gain experience, you may need to learn more.

If in the long run, the development of network security positions will be very far, many people start from Party B's operation and maintenance to security product development, red team development, APT attack and defense research, vulnerability mining, reverse analysis, etc., to this point, your salary can already far exceed that of programmers. A programmer goes home at the age of 35 to farm, and a network security engineer at the age of 35 may only really get started in this industry.

But no matter what stage you are in, it's important to be clear: age isn't the only factor that determines whether you're eliminated in the industry. In fact, as long as we are willing to keep learning and improving, whether we are 30, 40 or 50 years old, we may find our place in this industry.
